Barcelona Cable Landing Station, 𝒂 𝒃𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒆𝒘 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒉𝒖𝒃 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒂 Today Armen Durgaryan (CTO @ AFR-IX telecom) gave me the unique opportunity to visit this new DC and future landing point of the Medusa Submarine Cable System. He guided me around the building, giving interesting details and the strategy behind this new hub of Mediterranean: ✅Carrier #neutral colo and CLS ✅Presence of 2 submarine cables (up to 8) ✅Interconnection with main dark fiber networks and nearby DCs The Iberic Peninsula is a geographically privileged region for the upcoming years. New #submarine connections from the Atlantic and Mediterranean will meet here, offering a new route to North and South America, Africa, across to the Middle East, and Asia. The result of this virtual meeting point is a huge volume of potential business opportunities and a fast environent evolution for #IT, #content/#cloud and #network providers.
