One of the most powerful techniques we use is in vivo Confocal Raman Spectroscopy (CRS)—a non-invasive method that allows us to analyze skin penetration, composition, and bioavailability in real time. 📄 In our recent study, we used CRS to evaluate the skin penetration of TXVector, an ester-modified Tranexamic Acid (TXA). The results? A 3.8-fold higher absorption and a 280% increase in penetration flux compared to free TXA! 🌟 Impulsando la innovación en la cirugía de tumores cerebrales 🌟 Nos enorgullece compartir nuestro aporte al avance de la cirugía de precisión para tumores cerebrales de alto grado, como parte del proyecto SINUÉ, cofinanciado por la Generalitat Valenciana (GVA), la Agencia Valenciana de la Innovación (AVI) y el Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional (FEDER). 💡 Objetivo del proyecto El objetivo principal de SINUÉ ha sido diseñar y validar un kit quirúrgico de caracterización inmunosupresora de precisión que permita a los cirujanos tomar decisiones intraoperatorias fundamentadas en datos genéticos y moleculares. De esta manera, buscamos mejorar la planificación quirúrgica en tumores cerebrales de alto grado y optimizar el uso de tratamientos inmunoterapéuticos personalizados. 🎯 Resultados alcanzados 1️⃣ Desarrollo de ONCOhabitats: Producto médico validado conforme al Reglamento Europeo 2017/745. Delimita con precisión las regiones peritumorales críticas para el pronóstico del paciente. Facilita intervenciones quirúrgicas más seguras y efectivas. 2️⃣ Avances en análisis ómico: Identificación de 21 genes sobreexpresados relacionados con vascularidad y malignidad (DOI: 10.1016/j.heliyon.2024.e31175). We are thrilled to share that Bionos Biotech, S.L. has been awarded funding for our project, “New Screening Platforms for Drugs Targeting Various Dermatological Diseases” (Expedient Number: INNTA3/2024/14). This prestigious grant is part of the Talent Promotion / L3 Business Doctorates (Innodocto) program, funded by the Agencia Valenciana de Innovación. 🎉 As part of this initiative, we are proud to announce the recruitment and training of a doctoral candidate (PhD). This opportunity allows us to combine cutting-edge research with real-world applications in a business environment, fostering expertise to lead future R&D projects. The project focuses on the development of innovative screening platforms for dermatological research, using advanced in vitro models for conditions such as Vitiligo, Psoriasis, and Atopic Dermatitis. These platforms will integrate both 2D (monolayer and co-culture) and 3D skin cell culture models, aligning with our vision for impactful dermatological advancements. Our ultimate goal? To contribute to the discovery of effective therapies and redefine the future of dermatological care, all while aligning with Bionos Biotech’s commitment to innovation and excellence in R&D. Exciting News! 🚀 We are delighted to share our latest research publication: "Evaluation of the In Vivo Skin Penetration of TXVector by Confocal Raman Spectroscopy", featured in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. This collaborative work highlights the invaluable contributions of Daniel Winn and Andrea Gilreath, alongside the dedicated efforts of our talented researchers at Bionos Biotech.  💡 Key Highlights: Breakthrough in TXA Penetration: Tranexamic acid (TXA) is a leading active ingredient for treating hyperpigmentation, but its skin penetration is challenging. Our research demonstrates that TXVector, an esterified TXA formulation, significantly improves penetration: 2.1x higher absorption than TXA 3%. 3.8x higher absorption than TXA 1%. Increased penetration flux by 107% and 280%, respectively.
