🤔 Did you know that the first original clay targets 🥏 appeared in 1880 thanks to George Ligowsky? 👉 His main purpose was to replace the live pigeons 🐦 that were used at that time, in order to, among other things, lower the cost of the shooting sports and thus reach a wider audience. After trying several times without success 😅 he decided to use a combination of limestone and tar with which he managed to create the first clay targets 🥏 as we know them today. These new clay targets were first used at the New York live bird championships at Coney Island in 1880, in the largest live bird session 🐦 ever held up to that time. Since that time a lot has rained and shooting clay targets have evolved to suit today's needs.
