🌐 #CTTC leads research on sustainable AI-native networks thorugh the UNITY-6G project! This pioneering project, funded by the European Union under the Smart Networks and Services Joint Undertaking (SNS JU) program, will develop an integrated #AI-native architecture for sustainable, scalable and open RAN #6G networks. With the participation of 20 partners from 11 European countries, UNITY-6G will be coordinated by our senior researcher Dr. Engin Zeydan. 📅 The action will last 3 years and officially started on January 1, 2025. 👉 We will continue to share progress on this key project for the future of communications!

🌐 #CTTC Driving Innovation in 6G 🚀 In 2024, CTTC contributed to two major European projects shaping the future of 6G technologies. 🔹 Through #6G-REFERENCE, we’re progressing towards the design of innovative hardward devices, reinforcing Europe’s microelectronics industry. At CTTC we focus on antenna and microwave circuit technology for integrated sensing and communications 🔹 With #5G-GOVSATCOM, we’re enhancing pioneer work on seamless connectivity in remote and challenging environments. The aim is to improve many applications such as emergency response and security. TRANTOR project achieves a new milestone! Our colleagues from Hispasat performed Europe's first 5G-NTN fully compliant and interoperable broadband transmission over one of their GEO satellites. The test included the user terminal 3GPP NTN compliant developed at #CTTC. TRANTOR is a Horizon Europe project coordinated by #CTTC, which is leading the development of 5G non-terrestrial networks evolving towards 6G. 📡 La setmana passada vam rebre la visita de Telecos.cat al Centre Tecnològic de Telecomunicacions de Catalunya. 🔝 Una jornada enriquidora on vam poder compartir amb els assistents qui som, com és un dia a dia en el nostre centre i com contribuïm en el #CTTC a la #innovació i #recerca en el camp de les #telecomunicacions i la #geomàtica.
