"My engineering studies ignited a passion for applied mathematics and AI, and I became driven to apply my skills to challenges with real-world impact. The French Tech environment, especially its focus on climate risks, attracted me with its dynamic nature, rapid evolution, and ability to develop innovative solutions for complex problems." The thing you are the most proud of? "I am proud to contribute to the development of tech-driven and data innovations that help communities and businesses protect against the increasing frequency and severity of climate risks at Descartes. The world is changing rapidly, and with many challenges ahead, I find great satisfaction in contributing—even in a small way—to efforts that deepen our understanding of these risks and empower us to protect ourselves." If you could go back in time, is there anything you would do differently? "If I could go back in time, I would focus even earlier on seeking diverse experiences, be it internships, or any type of project, and specifically have more experience abroad. Exploring different industries, work cultures, and perspectives would have given me earlier access to valuable insights from a wider range of people. Latin America’s protection gap leaves many exposed to climate risks, but Descartes Underwriting is stepping in with tech-driven parametric solutions.
