🔍 #AIinRecruitment has been a game-changer, no doubt. It’s made us more efficient, organized, and even a bit more relaxed (who doesn’t love less admin work, right? 😄). But as we embrace this evolution, I’ve been pondering… will AI ever replace the experienced recruiter? 🤔 This week in my "job-seeker" group we've been discussing #SEOinJobSearching. It’s clear that SEO plays a crucial role in how AI matches candidates to roles. But here’s the thing - job titles these days are as creative as a Picasso painting! 🎨 So, how can we ensure that AI isn’t overlooking the perfect candidate, our “unicorn” 🦄, just because they’ve chosen different wording? AI is a powerful tool, but it’s not infallible. For example, it can amplify biases when screening CVs if we’re not careful with the programming! And when it comes to specialized roles or nuanced CV screening, can it really outperform human intuition and experience? In my opinion, recruiters will never become obsolete. AI is a tool that aids us, but when dealing with people, there must always be a human element. We understand the subtleties, the nuances, and the ‘between the lines’ in a way AI can’t (yet). So, companies - Do continue to leverage AI to make your internal recruitment team's job easier, but let’s not forget the value we recruiters bring to the table. You're probably even armed with a game plan and a checklist of companies and individuals to connect with, which is always a good idea however, here's a little secret.... Why choose this approach? Because, in those casual conversations, you never know who you might meet. Each person entering that conference carries a world of knowledge, serves as an inspiration in their field, or has a hunger to achieve greatness (and maybe they will one day). The result? Unbelievably enriching connections with amazing individuals from diverse corners of the world and also importantly, some positively potential partnerships. 🚀🌐✨ Don't always try to sell something or have an agenda. Simply starting a conversation on a personal note is the secret sauce to building genuine human connections and trust. 🌐💬 So, the next time you find yourself in a bustling conference, a networking event or even just in a queue at a store, remember this: Every person you meet could be a game-changer, a collaborator, or a source of inspiration.
