British digital savings and mortgage platform Tembo has secured €16.8 million in Series B funding, to expand its offerings, scale its savings app, and introduce new mortgage schemes in the UK housing market 🇬🇧 🏠 Richard Dana, CEO and Co-founder of Tembo, stated: “We founded Tembo to help make homeownership happen for the hundreds of thousands of people who have been locked out of the property market in the UK. [...] Goodwater’s support will enable us to rapidly expand our savings platform, launching competitive products that will enable our customers to save and invest more as they build their deposit. Plus, we have plans to further solidify our positioning in the market as the go-to player for finding a way for borrowers.” The round was led by Goodwater Capital, with participation from existing investors including Aviva, Ascension Ventures, Love Ventures, and McPike Family Office. https://lnkd.in/dSDg_AYJ

British startup Volter has raised €3 million in pre-seed funding to advance its mission of enabling real estate owners to monetise rooftop solar installations, expand its customer base, and enter new European markets 🇬🇧 ☀️ The funding round was led by Transition, with participation from Seedcamp and real estate investor Neptunia, alongside angel investors such as Johannes Schildt 🇺🇦 of Kry and serial climate tech founder Eamon Jubbawy. Co-founder Luke Buhl-Nielsen said: “C&I properties are merging with energy to become revenue-generating power plants – this is the creation of an entirely new asset class. Argil (YC S24), a French AI startup focusing video production, has raised €4.9 million in pre-seed and seed funding to expand its platform for creators, educators, and businesses 🇫🇷 🎬 The latest round, led by EQT Ventures, builds on an earlier €1 million pre-seed investment from Seedcamp and Axeleo Capital (AXC). Other notable investors include YouTuber Kwebbelkop and Charles Gorintin, co-founder of Alan and Mistral AI. CEO and Co-founder Laodis Menard drew on his experience in product marketing at a French unicorn to develop Argil: “I produced a lot of video content after leading product marketing at a French unicorn. I loved it, but found creating videos was becoming increasingly costly and time intensive. I was also lucky to be confident in front of the camera, a luxury not everyone has. At Argil, we want to democratize the production process to allow anyone to create engaging videos with realistic avatars that bring their original vision to life; AI allows us to do this quickly and cheaply. Demand for video content will continue to grow, and we need novel technology such as AI to fulfill this demand. Springtime Technologies, an Austrian startup specialising in accounts payable automation software, has secured a “significant investment” from UK-based growth equity investor, Scottish Equity Partners (SEP) 🇦🇹 🚀 The funding will drive Springtime’s product development and support its plans for global expansion. Markus Hübl, Founder and CEO of Springtime Technologies, shared his excitement about the partnership with SEP: “Our mission is to transform financial accounting operations by leveraging cutting-edge technology to drive efficiency and accuracy for global enterprises.
