Today was one of the most special days of the year for our company: The presentation of the '26th Fertiberia Award for the Best Doctoral Thesis on Agricultural Subjects', a distinction that has become one of the most prestigious and best financially endowed in Europe in the field of #AgronomicInnovation. These awards were created to reward research that promotes #sustainability, agronomic efficiency and the development of innovative solutions for agriculture. Every year, dozens of #CumLaude theses from universities and research centers in #Spain and #Portugal are presented for this award. This year, the first prize went to Jose Luis Pancorbo de Oñate for his research on "Remote sensing assessment of land use and crop parameters in irrigated systems." In addition, two runner-up prizes were awarded to Joana Rita Vita Prado, for her study on "Blending of raw and treated animal manures to produce organic fertilisers”, and Manuel Anguita Maeso, for his work on "The olive microbiome and its role in modulating host response to verticillium dahlia: Unraveling the determining and modifying factors.” During the event, we were honored to have representatives from key institutions such as Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, Colegio Oficial de Ingenieros Agrónomos de Centro y Canarias and Ministerio de Agricultura, Pesca y Alimentación, who highlighted the importance of collaboration between university, public sector and private sector for a more sustainable future. We extend our thanks to the participants, institutions and awardees for driving innovation in agriculture. Congratulations to all! 👏 More ℹ️: https://lnkd.in/eDyfbRTD #WeAreGrupoFertiberia #AgronomicResearch
