🌍 Innovation and sustainability in the Arctic: this is our project in Simo, Finland. 📍 In the Lapland region near the Arctic Circle and the Baltic Sea, we are implementing a key project for Finland's energy future: the construction of a large-scale energy storage system (BESS) in Simo. This innovative project, developed in collaboration with AMP Tank Finland Oy, marks a milestone in the Nordic countries' energy transition. Outstanding features: 🔸 Initial capacity: 60 MWh with 26 Sungrow PowerTitan batteries based on advanced lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cell technology. 🔸 Strategic location: Close to the Fingrid Simojoki substation, reinforcing grid stability. 🔸 Expansion potential: A second phase under discussion could increase capacity to 200 MWh, tripling its impact. 🔸 Efficient surface area: Only 0.4 hectares, maximizing land use. 🔸 Start of operation: First quarter of 2025. With this project, we consolidate our position as a global leader in sustainable energy storage solutions, expanding our presence to an area with ample future potential. This BESS will not only stabilize the grid in the face of renewable growth, but will also contribute to Finland's goal of being carbon neutral by 2035, becoming a benchmark of how international collaboration drives innovative solutions in challenging environments.

🌞 The future is solar: Australia's Walla Walla Solar Farm begins generating clean energy Walla Walla Solar Farm, FRV Australia's largest large-scale solar project with a capacity of 353 MW, has generated its first kilowatt-hour of clean energy. This is another stepping stone in the path of our strong commitment to energy transition and sustainability goals in New South Wales (NSW). Key impact of the project: 🔸 Contributes to meeting the NSW government's renewable energy targets. 🔸 Generated 350 local jobs during construction, boosting the region's economy. 🔸 Will provide renewable energy to Microsoft's data centers in Australia through a 15-year PPA agreement. This new addition brings our portfolio in Australia to nearly 1 GW of total capacity, consolidating our position as a leader in renewable energy. FRV obtains 11,9M€ finance from the storage PERTE for the development of 3 BESS stand-alone projects in Spain, obtaining 100% approval for the projects presented. This assignation awarded by the IDAE. Instituto para la Diversificación y Ahorro de la Energía will allow FRV to progress with our ambitious pipeline of BESS projects in Spain. The 3 projects will add up to 476 MWh and will be located in Cantabria and Cataluña. The construction of BESS facilities is key for Spain´s national grid efficiency and stability. #BESS #Spain #Storage
