Last week took place the second general assembly of the R&D project #HEART at the Safran Helicopter Engines facilities in Bordes (France). This project is part of the Clean Aviation call, which aims to evolve the concept of aircraft towards more #sustainable solutions, contributing to the decarbonization of the sector. The Ministry of Defense and Aviation of Saudi Arabia has ordered four additional Airbus Defence and Space A330 Multi Role Tanker Transport (#MRTT) aircraft for the RSAF - Royal Saudi Air Force . The first of these aircraft will enter into conversion at the beginning of 2026 and will enter into service and join the RSAF in #2027 to carry out air-to-air refuelling and transport missions. #aviation #innovation #technology

🆕 Airbus Defence and Space has launched the final assembly line for the #SIRTAP (Tactical Remotely Piloted Aircraft System) prototypes at its facility in Getafe, near Madrid . Completion of the final assembly is scheduled in spring 2025. SIRTAP will reinforce the tactical capabilities of the Spanish Army, which will have a total of nine systems, each consisting of three unmanned aerial vehicles and a ground control station. The design, development and manufacturing of this remotely piloted vehicle provides #spain with national sovereignty in the technological, industrial and tactical fields. #aviation #innovation #technology #Airbus
