Earlier this month, HBX Group participated in the annual Global Travel and Tourism Partnership, Student Travel Research Conference held in Madrid, as part of our efforts to contribute in a positive way to the development of future generations of the Travel and Tourism industry, and the communities in which we operate.
Each year the conference holds a global competition where students research a travel and tourism opportunity in their local or national area, and the challenge this year was to, 'Create a Social Media Campaign, Based on Research, to attract talent to Travel & Tourism'. HBX Group, along with our Mobility & Experiences partners, Amigo Tours and City Tours, sponsored the students’ cultural activity of discovering Madrid.
HBX Group Customer Experience & Automation Director, Xavier Godoy Moyá, also took part in an AI panel discussion alongside GTTP Director, Mariana Aldrigui, and Christian B. VP Customer Success, Amadeus.
“It was inspiring to engage with tomorrow’s tourism leaders about AI to discuss the importance of understanding the role of accurate data and well-designed processes,” said Xavier, “AI and automation should enhance, not replace, human strengths such as empathy and insight, and be applied when they’re the best solution for everyone involved; and especially put to work towards improving travel and the tourism impact on local communities’.
