The EU’s Digital Services Act (DSA) – often referred to as the “constitution of the internet” – continues to redefine the internet industry in Europe and has just been celebrating its first anniversary of full applicability on 17 February. To help businesses navigate this ambitious legal framework and latest related guidance, we’ve launched a webinar series taking a closer look at what the DSA means for online services and compliance efforts. Just launched: - Session 1: An overview of the DSA: its key principles and which digital services are in scope - Session 2: The intermediary liability principles of the EU Digital Services Act, and key case law developments at both the EU and Member State level In these first two videos, Florian Richter from our Hamburg office breaks down the must-know basics of this important EU Regulation. Bridging innovation and expanded access to life-changing treatments. We advised Marinus Pharmaceuticals, a commercial-stage pharmaceutical company dedicated to the development of innovative therapeutics for seizure disorders, in its sale to leading global rare disease company Immedica Pharma AB. As part of the acquisition, Marinus has become an indirect wholly owned subsidiary of Immedica, and its common stock will no longer trade on Nasdaq. Marinus’ product, ZTALMY® (ganaxolone) oral suspension CV, is an FDA-approved prescription medication introduced in the United States in 2022. Our cross-practice team of M&A, securities, and litigation lawyers was led by partners Jessica Bisignano and Gabrielle Witt, with support from partners Les Reese and Allison Wuertz, and senior associate Gibby Wagner. Steve Abrams, Global Co-Head of our Life Sciences & Health Care industry sector, partner Stephen Nicolai, and senior associate Amanda Brown served as Securities and Governance counsel to Marinus until its sale.
