#ICIQNews | 📅 Recently, the SUNER-C project SUNERGY - Fossil-free fuels and chemicals for a climate-neutral Europe brought together leading experts in Paris for three key events aimed at shaping the future of solar fuels and chemicals. 👥 As a consortium partner, ICIQ contributed to the organization of these events as well as on the discussions on innovation, barriers and pathways for sustainable energy solutions. 🔹 6th Consortium Meeting Held at Sorbonne Université, this session gathered SUNER-C partners to review project progress and define long-term goals for accelerating the transition to solar-driven fuels and chemicals. 🔹 Joint SUNERGY/REFINE Workshop A hands-on discussion titled “Innovating Solar Fuels: A Multi-Perspective Discussion on Overcoming Barriers and Creating Pathways to Sustainable Energy Solutions.” Experts from various fields shared insights on the technological, economic, and policy challenges in scaling up solar fuel innovations. 🔹 Final Workshop at the International Energy Agency (IEA) Organized in collaboration with IEA Hydrogen TCP , Mission Innovation and SUNER-C, this event explored the direct use of sunlight for producing hydrogen and carbon-based molecules, a crucial step toward a sustainable energy future. 📎 Read the full article for more insights: https://lnkd.in/e5vti7Pp ICERCA - Centres de Recerca de Catalunya | Barcelona Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) | SOMMa Alliance

#ICIQNews | ⭐ Prof. Katherine V. starts a new project to keep advancing light-driven micromotors research under the “Consolidación Investigadora 2024” programme. 🔬 The newly funded project is titled "Steermotors – Steerable photoactive micromotors based on metal complexes" and focuses on the development of artificial photoactivated microswimmers. ➡️ These self-propelled micromotors, which use light as their primary energy source, similar to many biological systems, are at the forefront of the micro/nanomotors field.
