This fascinating event, led by IGCAT Expert Prof. Vincenzo Russo, an expert in Consumer Psychology and Neuromarketing at IULM University in Milan, explored the intersection of neuroscience, food perception, and marketing. As the Director of IULM University’s Master’s programs in Food & Wine Communication, Food Design & Innovation, and Sport Marketing, Prof. Russo delved into the latest research on how neuromarketing techniques can elevate the gastronomic experience. The International Institute for Gastronomy, Culture, Art, and Tourism (IGCAT) has Awarded Harghita the prestigious title of European Region of Gastronomy 2027, recognizing the region’s exceptional commitment to local gastronomy, cultural heritage, and sustainable, family-friendly tourism. The award was presented by IGCAT President Diane Dodd PhD, to Barna-Botond Bíró, President of Harghita County Council and Károly Szabó, Visit Harghita Executive Director, in the presence of regional stakeholders, politicians, industry experts, tourism representatives, influencers, and IGCAT delegates. Deltaic’s commitment to using local organic products and sustainable practices has earned it a place among the seven certified restaurants in the province of Tarragona. Located in the Ebro Delta Natural Park and the Terres de l’Ebre Biosphere Reserve (Catalonia), Deltaic is an ecotourism project that offers an immersive experience focused on sustainability. The establishment includes eco-friendly accommodation, a small ecostore featuring local products, a regenerative agriculture garden, and a multipurpose space, mainly dedicated to gastronomy. Deltaic helps guests discover authentic local experiences while promoting the region’s organic producers and the incredible variety of products they offer. Deltaic also hosts workshops, cultural events, and activities that align with its core values, in collaboration with local organizations. As part of the Slow Food Catalonia network, Deltaic now joins a community of 80 members, including 53 restaurants, 25 canteens, and two hospitality schools.
