A Journey of Science and Growth , PhD Defended ✅
After years of dedication, late nights in the lab, and a enthusiasm for photovoltaics, I am thrilled to share that I successfully defended my PhD thesis, "Interfaces and Connections in Vacuum Deposited Perovskite Solar Cells," which explores stability, efficiency, and upscaling in perovskite photovoltaics! This journey has been one of persistence, discovery, collaboration, and at times, disappointment but also courage to push forward. I couldn’t have done it alone!
I am deeply grateful to my supervisors, Prof. Henk Bolink, and Dr. Cristina Roldán, for their guidance, patience, and inspiration throughout these years. A special thanks to my tribunal committee, Dr. Yinghuan Kuang, Dr. Alicia Forment, and Dr. Gustavo de Miguel, for their insightful questions and discussions that made my defense an enriching experience.
My heartfelt thanks also go to my colleagues at MOED group and to all my collaborators specially at imec in EnergyVille for making this journey meaningful, and for the stimulating scientific conversations that have pushed boundaries and expanded possibilities.
Beyond the science, this PhD has been a deeply personal journey as well. I am incredibly proud that the cover of my thesis was designed by Bahar Yazdansepas, who beautifully captured our Iranian heritage and merged it with the architectural elegance of perovskites.
The past years have reinforced my enthusiasm for renewable energy and advanced materials, and I’m excited about the opportunities ahead to apply this expertise in impactful projects.
As I look forward to the next chapter, I am eager to bring my experience in perovskite solar cells, device and stability engineering, and photovoltaic upscaling to new challenges in the field of clean energy and innovation.
Here’s to new beginnings and the future of photovoltaics!
