🎯 New projects ahead 🎯 Last week we participated in the kickoff meeting of #MMinE-SwEEPER project in GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel. The project will advance knowledge, capability and capacity in #Europe for dealing with #marine #munition in the non- military aspect of #UXO-clearance. The outcomes with respect to specific #technical #advancements will include: a) AI-supported detection of munition in hydroacoustic spatial mapping data, b) detection of buried munition objects, c) AI-supported object identification in optical and acoustic cameras and d) implementing trained AI-models into Smart-AUVs and -USVs for adaptive and cooperative mission execution. The project is funded under #HorizonEU and managed by European Research Executive Agency (REA) under the grant agreement 101167839.

Hovering Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs) to fit your needs!
Sobre nosotros
IQUA Robotics manufactures Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) systems which can be adapted for a wide range of research and professional applications. The company currently commercializes the Girona 500 and the Sparus II, two hovering, lightweight and versatile vehicles which can be easily configured for any task thanks to their open conception both from a hardware and software perspectives. IQUA also commercializes SoundTiles a post-processing software for Forward Looking Sonar mapping.

European seas, particularly the Baltic Sea, North Sea, and Mediterranean, are home to a significant number of dumped explosive and chemical munitions from World War I and II, as well as the Cold War era. Two new projects have just been launched to enhance knowledge, capability and capacity to mitigate the threats from dumped munitions to Europe’s seas. The projects are: 💣 MMinE-SwEEPER project (Marine Munition in Europe - Solutions with Economic and Ecological Profits for Efficient Remediation), funded under #HorizonEU and managed by European Research Executive Agency (REA). 💣 MUNI-RISK project (Risk assessment of sea-dumped munitions in the Baltic Sea) funded under the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (#EU #EMFAF) and managed by CINEA. The two projects will collaborate on sharing information and best practices to take efforts to deal with marine munitions in Europe to a next level. 💫 “From the abyss to the stars” 💫 SPARUS II #AUV Albert I of Monaco (Girona, 2020) is back home and ready for a full makeover. GEOMAR Helmholtz-Zentrum für Ozeanforschung Kiel vehicle will spend some weeks with us for incorporating: 🤖 New sensors in the payload area: a side scan sonar from Marine Sonic Technology, A Brand of Atlas North America and a forward looking sonar from Blueprint Subsea, a solid sensor combination already installed in other vehicles 🕹️ Our brand new long-range radio controller and a more accurate GNNS receiver, available for Girona500 and for SPARUS II AUV units #underwaterrobotics #underwater #inspection #hoveringAUV #SPARUS

⛳ MISSION: find the cable and detect potential threads using an #AUV This was our goal in #REPMUS23 exercise, we did it with our SPARUS II AUV using a Blueprint Subsea forward looking sonar and our camera system. If you want to learn more about how we did it, you can have a look at our blog, it will not disappoint you: https://lnkd.in/epEfq4jb Stay tuned for #REPMUS24 results! #underwaterrobotics #artificialintelligence #robotics #CUI #MaritimeUnmannedSystems #Strongertogether #Innovationtechnologies

Imagine capturing video, but with sound instead of light—that's what imaging sonars do! By using acoustics, they create incredibly detailed and precise models, similar to how drone photogrammetry works. This technology is so powerful that even in dark water, like when mapping a sewer pipeline, it delivers stunningly clear images. Shoutout to IQUA ROBOTICS and Blueprint Subsea for their cutting edge technology that allows us to gather such detailed data as this. #Ocean #OceanMapping #OceanographicSurvey #Hydrography #Sonars #UnderwaterImaging #MarineTechnology #AcousticSurvey
