At MEL Composites, we're proud to support the next generation of composite engineers. We sponsor university teams, providing them with raw materials, consumables and tools as well as assisting them with expert technical advice on composite processing as they take on the latest Formula Student and Moto Student programmes. A special shoutout to the talented team from MotoSpirit ESEIAAT, who are developing innovative composite parts for their new electric motorcycle set to compete in the 2025 Moto Student event. Their work with bio-based GreenPoxy 33 resin and our dedicated infusion technology shows great promise and we are excited to see them push the boundaries of performance and sustainability! Leveraging our expertise in mold design, laminate composition, and lean manufacturing, MEL provided hands-on technical support to MotoSpirit. We guided the students through best practices in resin infusion, such as optimized flow paths, controlled vacuum pressures, and precise resin-to-fibre ratios, helping to ensure high-quality, lightweight components. MEL's structured approach not only improves the team’s technical skills but also instills a foundational understanding of efficient, repeatable production methods essential for high-performance composites in motorsports. #Engineering #Composites #ResinInfusion #MotoStudent #FormulaStudent #Innovation #Sustainability #MELComposites #greenpoxy
