In 2019, we began a collaboration with Luma, a renowned Spanish brand specializing in anti-theft systems for motorcycles and bicycles. Our challenge was to design the first product of the next generation of electronic locks with alarms targeting bicycles and motorcycles. The project introduces an innovative category of products to the market that transforms the way users interact with them, offering various functionalities such as an alarm and monitoring system through an app, among others. For the creation of Volt Padel's V1000, there was only one briefing: to make a racket. The conclusions drawn from the initial analysis phase were key to determining the essential aspect that would make this racket stand out in the market. It was designed for Agustín Gómez Silingo, known as 'The Beast' due to his size compared to other players on the circuit. Silingo has very large hands, so the development was focused on creating the longest-handled racket on the market to ensure comfort for this type of player.
