Today at the Tarragona Blue Economy Forum, an inspiring event organized by Diari de Tarragona and the Ajuntament de Tarragona, aimed at promoting economic and social development related to the sea. The event involved key entities such as Port Tarragona, Tarragona Impulsa, and Universitat Rovira i Virgili, gathering influential players to discuss innovation projects, initiatives to de-seasonalize tourism, and efforts to boost education and employability. Hemos tenido el placer de participar en el #MaritimeHub2024, el congreso de referencia en innovación marina y marítima organizado por la Xarxa Marítima de Catalunya – BlueNetCat y la Dirección General de Política Marítima y Pesca Sostenible de la Generalitat de Catalunya, con la invitación especial de la región de Flandes, donde la #innovación, la #sostenibilidad y la #BlueEconomy han sido los grandes protagonistas. Durante el evento, NextReef Ecosystems pudo compartir su visión y los avances científicos y tecnológicos con los asistentes, presentando nuestras soluciones innovadoras para la restauración marina y la sostenibilidad. Esta experiencia nos permitió generar conexiones con referentes nacionales e internacionales del sector y explorar nuevas oportunidades de colaboración. Además, destacamos nuestra participación durante las últimas semanas en el programa de aceleración #BlueNetCamp, en el que hemos colaborado con entidades de referencia como el Institute of Environmental Assessment and Water Research (IDAEA-CSIC) y la ONA FUTURA FOUNDATION. Esta experiencia ha sido fundamental para ampliar nuestras perspectivas, explorar nuevas sinergias y construir alianzas estratégicas que aceleran nuestro desarrollo. Enhorabuena a Redeia y la Fundation ecomar por la excelente organización del seminario sobre el Bosque Marino, una gran iniciativa para impulsar la #conservación y #restauración de los ecosistemas marinos. 🌱🐠 En el inspirador entorno del Aeródromo Militar de Pollença, se han presentado políticas, estudios y proyectos que buscan proteger y restaurar la biodiversidad marina. 🌍💙 El equipo de NextReef Ecosystems junto a IQS Barcelona, estamos comprometidos con el desarrollo de tecnologías sostenibles para la restauración de hábitats marinos degradados. En colaboración con Jorge Terrados e Ines Castejon Silvo de IMEDEA - Institut Mediterrani d'estudis Avançats, y con el apoyo de la ONA FUTURA FOUNDATION, hemos desarrollado una tecnología para abordar el reto de la #escalabilidad del plantado de Posidonia oceánica, reduciendo los tiempos y costes de instalación, para facilitar la ejecución de proyectos de mayor envergadura e impacto ambiental. 🌿⚙️ En las próximas semanas, compartiremos los primeros resultados de las monitorizaciones de la instalación en la bahía de Pollença. ¡Seguimos adelante! #Sostenibilidad #EcosistemasMarinos #InnovaciónSostenible #BiodiversidadMarina #PosidoniaOceanica

Last Sunday, we had the honor of participating in an event at the Reial Club Nàutic de Barcelona, organized by the Catalan American Council as part of the America's Cup. During the event, we showcased the key outcomes of our marine regeneration and conservation project in collaboration with the ONA FUTURA FOUNDATION, as well as the #NatureBased technologies we’ve developed and validated. It was a pleasure to share the stage with the Fundació Impulsa Talentum and its president, Bru Recolons i Argente, who highlighted the branch of the Talent Observatory’s initiative that is focused exclusively on the #BlueEconomy, which is also led by the OnaFutura Foundation.
