It depicts not only the landscapes we encountered but also the testimonials of some of the riders and their expectations ahead of a cycling trip in a rather unfamiliar region. For Maya and Pan, what started as trips on their own to discover Colombia, turned into their main occupation, named Colombici. While there were already tour operators offering training camps that followed the principle “more hours of cycling is better”, Colombici focused from the beginning on finding the perfect balance between the physical challenge and the subsequent reward. Of all the options on the table, we opted for their "Into Coffee Heartlands" tour, which would take us from the country’s capital, Bogotá, to Filandia. The tour also included Alto del Sifón, currently the longest paved climb in the world. The Gravel World Championships was the ultimate proof of concept for GRAVAA adaptable tyre pressure. The Team Visma l Lease a Bike riders were racing using the system, and Marianne Vos flew across the finish line winning her 14th World title, first in gravel. GRAVAA adaptable tyre pressure has stepped in full force into the cycling scene. This innovative system allows riders to adjust tyre pressure while riding, so the course of the UCI Gravel World Championships, with surfaces ranging from smooth tarmac to rough singletracks, was the ultimate proof of concept. The team Visma—Lease a Bike riders raced using the system, and Marianne Vos claimed the rainbow jersey after suffering a puncture that GRAVAA was able to fix. https://lnkd.in/dCC2KhgX

Then, we plan on visiting the most relevant brands in the local industry, so do not hesitate to contact us if you own or are in contact with a cycling business in Colombia. We are eager to explore the country and meet those individuals and brands that until now we had followed from a distance.

The 2024 edition of Le Pilgrimage was one for the books. We embarked on a gravel journey in the Alps, bringing us to magic places like the Galibier and Strada dell'Assietta via challenging terrain. As mentioned by the organizers during the opening dinner, it was “1 route, 40 different stories”, and every participant returned home with an eye-opening experience in the bag.
