Professor José A. Sobrino Appointed Editor-in-Chief of Recent Advances in Remote Sensing.
Recent Advances is pleased to announce the appointment of Professor Jose A. Sobrino as the Editor-in-Chief of Recent Advances in Remote Sensing.
Dr. José A. Sobrino is a Professor in the Department of Earth Physics at the University of Valencia, Spain. He also serves as the Director of the Image Processing Laboratory, leads the Global Change Unit and is the President of the Recent Advances in Quantitative Remote Sensing symposiums. His research interests include techniques and applications of Remote Sensing, such as land and sea surface temperature and emissivity, thermal inertia, urban heat islands, evapotranspiration, calibration/validation activities, forest fires, etc. He has published over 300 articles in peer-reviewed journals. Prof. Sobrino was awarded the King Jaime I Award in Spain in 2019, the highest recognition for environmental protection in Spain, for his pioneering work in environmental protection through remote sensing.
