  • Last week, Paula Martín Posse traveled to Montreal to kick off an exciting new project with Farnell. Over an intensive three-day workshop, we collaborated to define the path forward for their migration to Enovia.   Following FLS's acquisition of Farnell last year, this transition is a key step in aligning systems and processes.   During the workshop, we: →Assessed the current state (As-Is) → Defined the future vision (To-Be) → Identified and analyzed potential gaps → Established a roadmap for the next phases of the project   A big thank you to everyone involved!   Looking forward to a successful implementation.   #PLM #Enovia #Consulting #DigitalTransformation

  • What is the root cause of user resistance to PLM adoption?  Neuropsychology and behavioral economics tell us that despite our best intentions, we don’t always make rational decisions even when it’s in our best interest.  The best action point is to figure out the unconscious biases that are preventing users from fully embracing the PLM system.     Examples are:  → Loss Aversion Bias: People tend to focus more on avoiding losses than on gaining something new. When it comes to adopting a new PLM system, this means they might stick with old methods because they fear losing what they already have, even if the new system offers better benefits.    → Sunk Cost Fallacy: This bias makes people continue using something because they’ve already put in a lot of time, effort, or money into it, even if it’s not the best choice anymore. For example, employees might keep using outdated tools because they’ve invested a lot in learning and maintaining them, even if a new PLM system could be more effective.    Read more about how to address these challenges head-on on our blog: https://lnkd.in/d9DdU8Dh     #PLM #ChangeManagement #DigitalTransformation #CommunicationStrategy #ProductLifecycleManagement

  • When you think of a company’s superpower, do you picture its reach, its influence, or how much revenue it generates each year? Think again. The real superpower in transformation? Listening. Too often, companies invest in transformation without truly listening to the people who live the change. Employees disengage, processes break down, and even the best strategies fall apart. But when people feel heard, they don’t resist change, they help drive it forward. 🗣️ Here’s how to start your transformation with a conversation: → Map the Landscape: Identify influencers, change drivers, and blockers. →Ask the Right Questions: Use a structured questionnaire to uncover real concerns. → Listen More Than You Talk: Have short, focused conversations. → Find Patterns & Insights: Look for recurring themes and hidden opportunities. → Run a Collaborative Workshop: Shift resistance into ownership by co-creating solutions. The result? Real transformation that sticks. _________________ Curious how to lead a successful transformation without repeating the costly mistakes of major companies? 👉 Read the full blog post here: https://lnkd.in/diR_y_7Y #digitaltransformation #changemanagement

When it comes to PLM implementation, the real challenge is ensuring your team stays engaged and motivated throughout the process. That’s where a strong communication strategy comes in! Without clear, consistent messaging, it’s hard for teams to stay aligned, and you risk resistance to change. The key to overcoming this?  Effective, two-way communication. So, what should your PLM communication strategy include? 👉 Timely, Relevant, and Consistent Information: Help your team understand what’s changing, why, and how it affects them. 👉 Two-Way Communication: Encourage participation and input from every level of your organization. The more involved they are, the more they’ll buy into the change! 👉 Targeted Messaging: Tailor messages to different stakeholder groups, ensuring everyone gets the info they need in a way they understand. 👉 Right Channels: Choose communication methods (email, Slack, Teams) based on your team’s preferences. 👉 Track Results: Measure the effectiveness of your communication and adjust for continuous improvement. Wondering where to start? Check out our 7-Step Process to build a robust communication strategy for PLM. • In the world of PLM, “training” and “re-skilling” might seem like interchangeable terms, but they play unique roles in driving innovation and adaptation within a company. 🔹 Training is about teaching new employees the fundamental skills and processes they need to use the PLM system. It’s focused on building core competencies, ensuring your team can hit the ground running. Think of it as the foundation that every PLM user needs. 🔹 Re-skilling, on the other hand, goes deeper. It’s about empowering your existing workforce to adapt to new tools, advanced features, and evolving processes. As PLM technology advances, re-skilling keeps your team agile, enabling them to take full advantage of the latest capabilities and remain competitive. Why does this distinction matter? In a fast-changing environment, initial training isn’t enough. Re-skilling keeps knowledge fresh and helps employees evolve with the technology, maximizing the return on your PLM investment and creating a culture of continuous learning. At SharePLM, we specialize in creating learning experiences that go beyond the basics, helping you bridge the gap between training and re-skilling. Ready to future-proof your team? Let’s talk about re-skilling in PLM! #PLM #ChangeManagement #Training #ContinuousLearning
