Bureau Veritas approves the concept for installation of the LT1200-2 Liftra Self-Hoisting Crane from the ATOMS platform from SOLVE WIND! The combined solution enables multi-brand, on-site service operations on fixed bottom turbines, redefining the standards of offshore wind services. Bureau Veritas has evaluated and approved the concept with a statement: “Liftra has listed and studied all aspects necessary to its concept, in accordance with applicable standards.” The LT1200-2 Liftra Self-Hoisting Crane, being installed on to the turbine from the ATOMS platform, brings a variety of benefits for offshore major component exchange, such as: • Enables cost efficient mobilization and operations • Eliminates the need for jack-up vessels and large cranes • Reduces CO2 emissions from operations • Neutralizes hub height as a cost driver for major correctives work Additionally, this scalable solution will support service operations for the next generation of offshore wind turbines via the integration of the new LT1500 Liftra Installation Crane technology on the ATOMS platform. The production of the first ATOMS platform is progressing well and once complete, the Liftra LT1200-2 crane is ready for installation from the platform. We are excited to share that the production of our first ATOMS platform is progressing according to schedule!
