Yesterday, StepsBridge attended the Congress of #InterimManagement organized by the Asociación Interim Management España (AIME) in Madrid. It was a great opportunity to interact with key players offering services in the Spanish market and gain more insight into the challenges and trends of the sector. Main takeaways: - Juan Carlos Martínez Lázaro gave a comprehensive overview of the current geopolitical situation and explained how China’s overcapacity—producing 1/3 of global demand but consuming only 1/6 of it—will lead to massive exports, putting other economies under significant pressure. - Mercedes Hernández emphasized the value of seniority, highlighting the advantages of diversity not only in terms of gender but also across generations, and underscored the importance of combating ageism as a social issue. - Rosa Santos Fernandez clarified the challenges businesses face when politicians act against common sense and market realities, leading to overregulation, which creates more uncertainty and insecurity. This has a detrimental effect on investment and growth—nothing could be less "progressive" than that. - Alberto Fernández Varela provided valuable insights on how the public sector could act as a catalyst to boost demand, much like it did with consulting in the 1990s. - Fran Murcia clearly explained the importance of staying fit, both for oneself and for those we love. His comparison of leadership in sports with business leadership was incredible. - Xavier Marcet discussed humanistic leadership and his formula, VmPeCa, which encourages leaders to keep an eye on business outcomes while focusing on more than just results. The way we make an impact and how we achieve it matters. - Rodrigo Miranda Beltrán spoke about AI and how we can leverage it. It's not about replacement; it's about creating synergies, fostering evolution, and driving innovation. #BuildingBusinessBridges

He has gained his professional experience from strategy consulting for major #automotive OEMs and suppliers at Berylls by Alix Partners and Accenture, in various strategic functions at BMW Group and as COO of an emerging manufacturing company for automotive components. As interim manager he takes over positions for consulting companies, private equity investors, OEMs and suppliers. His work covers restructuring programs, strategy implementation, program management, operations programs in distressed situations and task forces for critical supplier enablement. Last week, StepsBridge attended Automechanika Frankfurt, and here are the highlights of the #automotiveaftermarket show: - The event has returned to normal after some very weak editions due to the pandemic, with the number of visitors and exhibitors now more or less at pre-COVID levels. - Country-supported #automotive pavilions remain the primary beneficiaries of the show. While big brands attract attention, new contacts and visibility opportunities are more relevant for medium and small players. - There was a strong focus on #sustainability, not only with a dedicated area for the topic but also with manufacturers showcasing their advancements in this field. - Last but not least, it was a great opportunity to connect with colleagues and have some fun! Philippe brings 35 years of experience in the #AutomotiveIndustry, having worked for major OEM PSA Peugeot Citroën (Stellantis) and global #Automotive Tier 1 suppliers such as Inalfa Roof Systems, Takata, and Joyson Safety Systems. He has held various roles across Engineering, Business Development, Program Management, and Sales, including positions as Customer Sales Manager and Global Sales Director. Philippe has consistently operated in multicultural environments, with international engagements across Europe, the U.S., Brazil, and China. Most recently, he has been supporting European companies in their growth within the French market, particularly in the areas of safety, leather products, and batteries for small e-mobility solutions. To reinforce our team globally, we are looking for an Independent #Automotive Sales Consultant and Contractor supporting the acquisition and execution of customer's projects worldwide. StepsBridge is an Automotive Boutique Consulting with 15 Associates and presence in more than 10 countries with focus on TierX-OE and Independent #Aftermarket Business. Idea is to join StepsBridge global network and operate as an associate. Our customers are automotive component manufacturers and service providers willing to enter and/or expand their sales in countries where they have low or non presence. We do cover today markets like Europe, Middle East North Africa, India, South Korea or Japan among others. Additionally the candidate should win accounts in the region where he/she is based to promote those accounts abroad/overseas. AUTOMOTIVE means passenger cars, Light Commercial Vehicles (#LCV vans) and also #HeavyDuty / #CommercialVehicle segments. Remark: this is an open role to work as contractor. It means you will need to be self-employed or have your own company in order to be able to join our platform. Ideally the candidate (m/f/n) will match following criteria: Expertise in Sales, Marketing and Business Development Strong track of records and consolidated expertise in the #AutomotiveIndustry. Preferably > 20 years Experience in the channel #TierX-->#OEM and/or Independent #AutomotiveAftermarket Fluent in English is a must. Other languages an asset.
