The vessel operates under extreme conditions, with its FH-32 grade steel tanks containing liquefied gases at -60°C while navigating through temperate waters, exposing the structure to significant thermal stress. This stark temperature differential creates large thermal gradients that induce considerable expansion and contraction forces on the steel.
