¿Está en peligro el espacio público en la ciudad densa? Muy contentos de formar parte del artículo de revue urbanisme en que se reflexiona sobre el espacio público en la ciudad española, en un contexto de gentrificación creciente que pone en riesgo nuestros espacios comunes como lugar de mezcla y vínculo social. Un modèle espagnol d'espace public en danger ? « Dans les villes où le climat permet d’être dehors, [l’espace public] est alors devenu un lieu de bien-être grâce auquel différentes générations ont pu améliorer leur qualité de vie. » déclarait Francesc Muñoz, urbaniste et professeur de géographie urbaine à l’université autonome de Barcelone. En Espagne, les espaces publics sont de toute évidence bien plus fréquentés qu’en France et ils sont le lieu de rencontre naturel de toutes les générations et catégories sociales. Une convivialité que le tourisme a allègrement exploitée, au risque de la mettre, dans certains territoires, en péril. Pourquoi les Espagnols sont toujours autant dans la rue ? 🔎 Pour la Revue Urbanisme, j'ai cherché la réponse à la question que chaque Français se pose quand il visite nos voisins et découvre la culture de la rue à l'espagnole, une véritable appropriation de l'espace public. What a couple of intense days at the Smart City Expo World Congress! Honoured to participate in the round-table organised by the Observatorio 2030 del CSCAE reflecting on the impact of digitisation in mobility through our project Embarriados (done with Fundación Cotec para la Innovación). Inspired by Michael Donaldson and Markus Mohl talking about the potential of digital twins developed by public administrations. Thrilled to moderate the panel "Reimagining Tomorrow: Cutting-Edge Tech in Urban Design" with Oana Taut (CPO of infrared.city), Steve Zoegall (Vice President and Global Market Director – Cities & Places of Jacobs), Ramon Gras Alomà (CEO & Founder of Aretian Urban Analytics and Design) and Abdulrahman Habib (Deputy Chief Strategy Officer of SDAIA |سدايا). Honoured to join again the Seoul Digital Foundation conference as keynote speaker, together with Hun-jai Chung(Deputy Mayor of Gangnam-gu, Ane Miren Ibañez Zugazaga (Bilabo City Council), Agnès Charlotte Bickart (Metropolis) and Ahmed T. Abd Elmoeti (Digital Transformation Lead of Aramco). And happy to end the day visiting Poble Nou together with the Métropole du Grand Paris, together with Claire Lidsky Lisky and a group of representatives from the Urban Innovation Program (Quartiers d’Innovation).

Hemos publicado el estudio inicial de la Red URBACT Cities@Heart que identifica las principales problemáticas de los centros urbanos a partir de la experiencia de diez ciudades europeas. Todas ellas comparten retos acerca de la adaptación al cambio climático, la gentrificación, las nuevas formas comerciales, los conflictos en el espacio público, la creación de identidad y vínculo social, el equilibrio de los usos del suelo y las herramientas para la gobernanza. Desde distintos contextos (Bélgica, Croacia, España, Francia, Grecia, Irlanda, Italia, Polonia, Portugal y Slovenia), se proponen también buenas prácticas para revertir estos fenómenos y centrar de nuevo la mirada de las políticas públicas en los corazones de las ciudades.
