Just back from HR Technologies France (https://lnkd.in/exu9zXw2), where 120+ sponsors gathered to shape the future of HR. The HR Tech landscape is shifting fast.
First impressions :
- Learning & Skills Management solutions are bigger and bigger,
- AI was in almost every pitch, every booth, every product demo.
𝗗𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗲? Absolutely.
Organizations are intensifying their focus on upskilling, internal mobility, and talent retention. However, despite these efforts, challenges persist. A significant 67% of digital transformation projects encounter delays, as highlighted in a recent post. HR technology vendors are actively developing solutions to address these hurdles.
According to IDC, the forthcoming wave of transformation is anticipated to be driven by AI-powered skills intelligence, adaptive learning platforms, and seamless HR system integrations (https://lnkd.in/eT5_kmtD).
And regarding main challenges Vendors have?
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗴𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗔𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.
A critical challenge lies in the integration of innovative HR solutions into increasingly complex technological infrastructures. Moreover, garnering support from internal stakeholders to drive meaningful change remains essential.
𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗛𝗥 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗱𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹—not because the solutions aren’t innovative, but because organizations struggle to integrate them, secure internal buy-in, and prove ROI.
The bigger picture: 𝗔𝗻 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁—𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗡𝗼𝘄.
With 40% of non StartUps vendors coming from outside France, competition is already regional, if not global. And yet, some of the biggest names in enterprise HR - such as Oracle, SAP, Workday... - didn’t have a booth...
Market seems wide open, with no dominant leader locking in market share. French emerging HR tech vendors have a unique opportunity to define their positioning, drive adoption, and scale beyond local markets.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀?
The future of HR tech won’t be won by features alone. The real differentiators will be:
- AI-powered skills intelligence that helps businesses predict and develop talent.
- Seamless integrations that remove adoption friction.
- 𝗔 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗼-𝘁𝗼-𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 doesn’t just sell technology but 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁 on how to use it (for tips please check previous post).
It will be fascinating to see how French HR Tech vendors evolve in the next 24 months!
