In a world where trends dictate much of our choices, it is easy to succumb to the allure of popular art pieces. These works, often widely reproduced and accessible, can offer an immediate sense of belonging to a contemporary zeitgeist. However, the true essence of art lies not in its conformity to the mainstream, but in its capacity to transform spaces and evoke a deeper resonance. Unlike trendy pieces that can be found in numerous households or offices, a unique art piece carries with it the essence of individuality. When you choose to adorn your space with such a piece, you are not merely decorating; you are inviting a narrative into your environment, one that reflects a distinct personality and perspective. In the hospitality industry, hotels, especially in prime tourist destinations, are taking note and incorporating bespoke artwork throughout their spaces to create unforgettable experiences for their guests. From lobbies to guest rooms, art has the power to enhance the quality of living and elevate the overall ambiance, making a lasting impression on travelers from around the globe. Beyond mere decoration, carefully curated artwork can engage guests on a deeper level, immersing them in the culture, history, and identity of the destination. If you're looking for a way to elevate your hotel's guest experience, consider incorporating unique art into your design. It's a small change that can make a significant impact. + Nordic Interior + The Nordic style is defined by simplicity, functionality, and a deep connection with nature. This approach seeks to maximize natural light and incorporates materials such as light wood and soft textiles, creating a serene and cozy atmosphere. Clean lines and a neutral color palette offer a sense of calm, while minimalist details emphasize practicality without compromising aesthetics. For several months now, the concept of quiet luxury has been the subject of a plethora of articles in the press as one of this season’s trends. A lifestyle for which a company’s product is not as important as the quality that an article conveys. These items speak for themselves and express themselves. They mirror a work well made with the best raw materials; a new form of consumption that cuts across all styles and goes beyond a specific aesthetic. The admiration for José Antonio Coderch, Josep Lluís Sert, Ricardo Bofill or Enric Miralles is a trait in common between Roca and Carulla, and the Tura collection, the combined realization of this fascination.“I love Coderch’s idea of citizen-centered architecture and design. It is like the work our studio does – more discreet, I’d even venture to say silent,” summarizes the designer. Thus, the setting chosen to introduce the collection is the house that Coderch designed and lived in with his family in Sant Feliu de Codines, Barcelona. As Carulla himself states, “design is not a luxury when it helps people to live better.” The collection draws inspiration from elements as subtle as the shadows that the pergolas and shutters cast on spaces. A creation of volumes and geometric shapes that acquire interesting dimensions, stripping away the superfluous and letting emptiness reveal itself as an abstract and limitless resource. The quiet luxury of a simple lifestyle which finds in the Mediterranean sea the ideal scenario to create functional, aesthetic and timeless solutions. It is no coincidence that the name of the Tura collection stems from the Spanish words for architecture and culture – arquitectura and cultura. As a designer but also as an individual, Andreu Carulla seeks to distance himself from everything that does not convey certain values: “I’ve always wanted to work with Roca because they make amazing, high-quality products. Moreover, the use of ceramics and the geographical proximity made it a perfect match. Then I discovered that we speak the same language.” Story about Tura Collection by Andreu Carulla for Openhousemagazine and Roca Pic by Salva López. Read the whole article at inmabuendia.com

Design is a journey that awakens the senses and transforms the perception of space. We find ourselves on the Mediterranean coast, where the Link sofa by @sancal immerses us in blue Klein tones alongside ECOnordik, evoking the serenity of the sea. The gentle visual waves of the Baffles envelop us with the tranquility and fluidity of their forms. Next, we delve into a cenote, an oasis where the chains of @kriskadecor cascade elegantly, and the tulips with preserved plants from @greenarea2 bring a magical environment to life. The table from @establees and the Bee chair by @actiu_com complete this scene, merging nature and design in a space that inspires and connects. In this way, every corner invites us to explore the essence of design, transforming the everyday into memorable experiences that encourage us to dream and create.

Designers are now embracing a "more-is-more" philosophy, where more is indeed more. More hotel designers are now embracing refined maximalism by infusing spaces with bold colors, eclectic decor, and a dash of nostalgia. This isn't just about adding more color or patterns; it's about creating immersive narratives that transport guests into a world of whimsy and wonder, much like a time capsule that captures the essence of eras past with a modern twist. In my opinion, this approach not only elevates the guest experience but also weaves a rich tapestry of stories and emotions, making every visit unforgettable.
