Sobre nosotros
Next generation network deployment (NGN) and optical fiber metropolitan area networks (MAN) require a correct inventory to have all the updated information about the Optical Distribution Network (ODN) in order to maintain the infrastructure and preserve the value of assets, while reducing operational costs and facilitating the operation of the network. At present, existent management tools are non-specific for optical fiber networking ,very costly and require complex IT systems. APX GIS aims to offer powerful outside plant management using the latest web technologies in a simplified and easy to operate way so planners and engineers can manage the ODN (Optical Distribution Network) in real time.

We would like to share with you how we have enabled one of our customers to succeed with #APXGIS. Sant Cugat Council owns and maintains a fibre network and this ownership plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless connectivity within Sant Cugat community. The heart of Sant Cugat’s network management lies in the utilisation of our #APXGIS programme, a cutting-edge Geographic Information System. APX-GIS serves as the key element for maintaining an exhaustive inventory of all fibre assets under the Council's ownership. One of the key functionalities of #APXGIS is its role in providing data to calculate distances between the assets and having this information available. Leveraging this capability, the city council can accurately determine charges and generate invoices for the rented services, ensuring a transparent and equitable billing system for all the stakeholders involved. Moreover, the comprehensive dataset provided by #APXGIS empowers the city council to control and uphold the integrity of the network. This information encompasses a wide array of elements, ranging from point-to-point services and dark fibre services to traffic lights, radars, and interconnections between various public locations. In an innovative move, Sant Cugat Council extends its dark fibre services to private companies and Internet Service Providers (ISPs). The meticulous management of the network through #APXGIS enables the city council to identify dormant fibre optic cables and infrastructure. Subsequently, they leverage this insight to offer rental and leasing opportunities, fostering a dynamic and efficient use of resources. As we navigate the digital landscape, Sant Cugat Council remains committed to advancing technological solutions that not only enhance connectivity but also contribute to the sustainable and effective management of our fibre network. We look forward to continued progress and collaboration within the realm of advanced network infrastructure. #FibreNetwork #TechnologyInnovation #APXGIS #Connectivity #SantCugatCouncil
