Last Monday I had the pleasure of speaking at the 2024 Gaming in Spain Conference (GiS), held in Madrid at the BBVA Tower. An event that is a must for those in the Spanish #igaming market wanting to gain insights into the latest regulatory updates.
My session covered the use of #AI in #recruitment, one that myself and the team here at Pentasia are hearing more and more about. For those who didn’t attend on the day, here are the main highlights:
Currently AI usage in recruitment is around 27% and is more often used to remove mundane tasks such as 1st stage interviews, shortlisting, and sending rejection letters. An example of this can be seen with the global payment and shopping company, Klarna.
The vast gains made by the Klarna chatbot in one month have completed the work of 700 customer support staff and will have contributed to an estimated $40 million in profit improvement in 2024 alone - https://lnkd.in/dGsg8GV9
When adopting the use of an AI assistant all risks must be considered, any mistakes made by your virtual employee will result in the same penalties as a human employee. This is something that was seen in the Air Canada lawsuit, which saw an unapproved discount code issued to a customer - https://lnkd.in/d_tuw2e9
It’s reported that 48% of hiring managers admit to having bias and 68% of recruiters believe AI will remove bias. However, AI systems have reportedly shown to have a 35% facial recognition error in their algorithms.
It’s the human skills such as reactive communication, valuing relationships over transactions, and critical thinking that set us apart from artificial intelligence.
Finally, I believe that the human touch will continue to triumph; however, I am happy to accept the assistance of the time-consuming tasks that take me away from providing a service that is personal, professional, and adaptable to my clients and candidates.
