This hotel is really awesome! You can get good service in 5 star hotel but you can feel more warm hospitality in Po Ying! The furniture in the room is made from mahogany and full of Chinese culture. More interesting thing is the succulents in the yard, very cute:)

LLEEWe enjoyed our stay here, so when we returned from Shangri-la to Lijiang, we made a repeat booking at this place. The cleanliness of the place and the friendliness of the staff were the main reasons for our return.
Location: This place is situated near the border of the Lijiang Ancient City. It is close to the main road (2 min walk) which makes it easy to meet your driver for airport transfer or any tour you join. It is also extremely convenient to get to the main attractions such as Mu Residence (5 min) and Zhongyi Night Market (6-8 min). You will be away from the hustle and bustle at night, and get some peace and quiet.
Room: We were lucky that we got a room on the ground floor, as we had very heavy luggage. It would be very difficult to pull them up the stairs if we were on the upper floor. Every room has a different name, and shows that the owners put some thought into giving each of their guests a unique experience. The room we got was of moderate size, with a small sofa area for you to enjoy tea and snacks. There was also a kettle and four cups, and a 5-litre water dispenser that dispensed hot and cold water - I appreciated this, which was more environmentally friendly and generous than other accommodation which gave us 2 bottles of water (500ml each) each every day. The room was also equipped with heating, for the room and the floor, and they were controlled by the front desk. There was also a humidifier. The room's interior decoration was warm and cozy.
Outdoor: We also enjoyed sitting outdoors, idling, gazing at the fish, watching the flowers bloom, while enjoying many cups of tea.
Toilet: It was of decent size, with a shower cubicle that dispensed hot water pretty quickly. They provided us with everything so there's nothing you need to bring: shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, slippers for shower, towels for body and hair, one-time face towels, hair dryer, body lotion, soap, detergent.
Service: The staff was hospitable, friendly, and the service was impeccable. We enjoyed chatting with them over many cups of tea, and rose pastries. They even recommended travel routes and restaurants to us, which were very good, and we even got discounts or freebies by telling the restaurants where we were staying. It was easy to communicate with the staff on WeChat, they responded promptly, and arranged free airport transfer for us as we stayed more than three nights.
Food: Breakfast was served every morning, which included a bowl of Yunnan mixian (noodles), a steamed bun, a hard-boiled egg, corn, and some spicy preserved vegetables. Every booking came with one serving of afternoon tea, which included rose pastries and a variety of fruits. We arrived after midnight and the staff prepared some rose pastries and fruit for us, in case we would be hungry, which was very thoughtful of them!

GGRACEOur stay at Yinjian Inn was absolutely delightful, and we’d strongly recommend it to anyone traveling to Lijiang. The hospitality here is unparalleled and truly top-notch. From the moment we booked, the inn's owner reached out to us via WeChat. She responded promptly to all our queries, making us feel cared for and welcomed. Communication was smooth and friendly throughout our 3D2N stay. I really need to point out the EXCEPTIONAL service provided by the owner and staff. For those familiar with 丽江古城 (Old Town of Lijiang), you’d know how challenging it can be to navigate its cobblestone streets, especially with heavy luggage. The inn owner kindly helped us carry our bulky luggage from the Didi drop-off point to our rooms, which was a lifesaver. Moreover, she noticed that my grandparents had some difficulty walking and graciously upgraded us to a larger family room on the ground floor to spare them from climbing stairs. Every day, we were treated to dessert soup, fresh fruits, and a hearty breakfast. It felt like being pampered with home-cooked meals that left us feeling nourished and too full to enjoy the other street food sold in the 古城. Situated on 狮子山 (Lion Hill) within 丽江古城, Yinjian Inn boasts one of the best locations in the area. Perched at the highest point, it offers breathtaking panoramic views of the city, both from the rooms and the nearby Didi drop-off point, which is just a minute's walk away. While the walk down to the busier parts of the 古城 is easy and filled with charming shops and eateries, the climb back up can be a bit of a workout. However, the picturesque views and opportunities to rest and visit the stores along the way more than make up for it. Our room was clean and well-furnished, blending modern comfort with traditional Chinese aesthetics. The room included all the necessary amenities- also don't worry, there is a bidet with all sorts of cool functions. My family and I left with full hearts (and stomachs!) and immense gratitude for the care we received. So YES, please don't hesitate to choose this place :)

La impresión más profunda me la llevé en un pequeño hotel de Lijiang, donde el personal trabajaba en silencio, sin fanfarrias ni extravagancias, pero con una sinceridad que me llegó al corazón.
Desde el momento en que entré en el vestíbulo, sentí algo diferente. No eran los saludos suaves en idiomas extranjeros ni los gestos aprendidos en los manuales de hospitalidad. * Overall - beautiful boutique hotel based on traditional Naxi architecture. Looks like a traditional inn, but is actually new and modern.
* Rooms - spotlessly clean, with all modern facilities. Light contemporary decor.
* Benefits - excellent breakfast, complimentary welcome drink, complimentary welcome fruit platter, complimentary afternoon tea & desserts, complimentary nightcap plum wine and light dessert. Daily complimentary laundry. Unlimited soft drinks in room fridge.
* Service - this is where the Dublin really stands out. The best service we've experienced in China, and most likely the best ever. The staff all work as a well trained team to make you feel at home from the moment you check in. A special shout out to Xiao Du!
* Location - Another great standout. Literally steps from the front door (next to the small restaurant on the right) there are a set of steps down to the canal. From there, just follow the canal to the Water Wheel and Lijiang Old Town north gate. Along the way is a large lively night market. You can also step down to the main road just outside and walk down a lively street full of food options. Pro Tip : Ask hotel staff how to get to the restaurant that is in the last picture below. Delicious Naxi food!

The villa is brand new and very clean and spacious.
The location is very good as it is a 4 minute walk to several breakfast spots and 8 minutes to Shuhe Ancient Town. We prefer this area because it was peaceful, quiet at night for sleeping, in walking distance to several services and not as overwhelming and crowded as Lijiang. However, Lijiang Old Towne is just a 15 minute ride.
The best part of our stay was the host. He was extremely helpful with directions, travel ideas, arrangements, restaurant recommendations and more. His help, guidance and hospitality was exemplary.
If you are going to Lijiang I highly recommend staying here.

It felt like China was so warm and welcoming, I want to introduce all my friends and family to visit Lijiang because of this experience. Shout out to one of the boss, Xiang Zi, he’s now our dear friend!
I have booked 2 of the bigger rooms, the view was beautiful, well furnished, spacious and clean. The house keeping was good and trustworthy. The cafe has decent breakfast, the drinks are world class. I kid you not, the special drink menu is better than your CHAGEE, and I love CHAGEE. Their barista has been well trained, no wonder my husband speaks highly of the coffee he ordered. The inn also provide photography services, you can just engage their service and avoid the nearby big photography service. I find that outside photography is a scam. Paid about 1300yuan for the whole thing, only had 7 photoshopped photos and 30 other low res original photos. I don’t even like the photoshopped ones.
We arrived late at night and had no problem getting to our beautiful room. There were ppl who helped us with our luggages, and we just walked 5mins to our cosy inn. The place is an ancient city, so you get to experience living in an ancient city, with modern furnishings. The view from the room is different and intriguing, the view at the cafe is romantic and calming. There are many hidden spots in this inn that we stayed in, every corner is a photo opportunity. The tea at the reception was the best I have ever tasted. Xiang Zi is a very cultured man, he makes tea, and he make sure everyone knows how to serve tea. We had so much fun here, we even extended another day here because of the owner. I highly recommend this place, not because I’m bias, but because for the price we paid, we have received toooooooo much. We are so grateful for everything for the team has done for us. From providing oxygen when we want to head up the mountain, to doing us a favour to help us to book the snow mountain tickets, to paying for our transport in advance, to helping us find our way and making sure we are safe.
We are looking forward to host Xiang Zi when he visit Singapore!

AAwatif TThe location and design of the hotel are perfect for those wanting to experience Lijiang Ancient Town. There’s a lovely courtyard where you can relax enjoying a view of the ancient town — I was lucky to be there during New Year’s and got to see fireworks from there!
I contacted the owner a day before my arrival for baggage pickup, and he help carry my bags to the hotel. Didi rides are easy to book, but be prepared for a bit of walking — it’s recommended for those with good knees, as you’ll need to hike a little to comeback to the hotel when heading down to the town center.
The owner welcomed us with tea while we waited to check in, provided a steam iron when we needed one, and the guesthouse also offers washing machines (though there’s no dryer). He was very responsive to every inquiry and made an effort to chat with us, even though we used a translator app to communicate.
On our last day, he even gave us free tea and helped carry our luggage to the Didi waiting point. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lijiang!
