Lobby was nice and smell great.. Room looks good and clean though had some musky smell unlike at lobby.. Toilet is average coz toilet bowl water was pretty high we kept worrying if it will overflow.. Spiral Steps to swimming pool was rather steep, so be careful.. Swimming pool was great and big.. Breakfast had a really long queue if you go after 9am.. The spread was good.. On Sunday, there was a clown who did balloon sculpture which made my toddler happy..  Room has nice seaside view..

Stayed in the newly renovated and expecting a good and positive stay but -.-z Requested for babycot and this is what exactly I received just babycot with no mattress 🙃 How do I even placed my newborn baby in without any mattress and not able to shift it up. It is unreachable to even place my baby there. The room and bed was so dusty that I can’t even have a good sleep on my 1st night. Non stop runny nose flowing to start my day. Called for in-room dining and took so long to answered the call. Call was being transferred for more than 3 times. Ordered and waited for 1hr + for the food that never came. Tired of waiting so I cancelled on the orders. Breakfast spread was ok nothing much.

Disappointed stay. Will not come again. As shown in picture, that kind of room being given during my stay. I did not ask for replacement because late check in due to heavy traffic. Tired and disappointed. Btw, the cistern also not working, the refilling process took very long time and I have to open the cistern cover my self to fill in the water. The only good things is. The pool was big and your kids will love it to max.

I stayed at Thistle Hotel JB, and while the property is beautiful with stunning views, spacious rooms, and excellent amenities, the service didn’t quite meet the 5-star standard. The staff was friendly, but responsiveness was inconsistent—room service was slow, and there was a bit of a disconnect between departments. Despite these service issues, the overall experience was still enjoyable, and I’d return for the quality of the facilities, hoping the service improves.

Had a great experience, service was good and generally very prompt. Breakfast had a wide variety of options. Staff are warm and friendly. The only thing that they need to improve would be the swimming pool ladders. It was shaky for both off them and there was a screw protruding out of the ladder and could be hazardous to any guest. The refurbished room was excellent.

We arrived at 2:30 PM and were promptly checked in, even though the official check-in time is 3 PM. We were assigned Room 215, a corner room at the very end of the corridor. While the receptionist assured us it had a sea view, the reality was quite different—our “view” was of trees and the highway, which was disappointing. The room itself is spacious, but the bathroom was a major letdown. It features a semi-circular bathtub that requires climbing into, which isn’t ideal. To make matters worse, there’s no shower curtain, so every shower leaves the bathroom completely flooded with water. Unfortunately, this issue persists and has made our stay quite inconvenient.

Was a given a complimentary room facing the straits and it was a newly refurbished room. Everything new especially the TV have youtube and netflix. Breakfast was okay. The pool was somehow not clean and the children pool doesnt look like for them, the pool was quite deep.

Not too busy. Location is perfect in the city and very near to few places and food.

Improvements needed in cleanliness, service, renovation and musky smell in room . Can see the moulding corners around the bathroom . Breakfast spread was rather pathetic. How could this hotel be ranked 4 star ?? Front desk service lacks enthusiasm and welcoming attitude

Newly furbished room was great. Room is clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Can stay again.

Kids was happy with the pool..can swim till 8pm n breakfast was superb..really enjoy..Thanks Thistle

Almost things inside room going to spoil (tv sometimes on and off itself , fridge not cold, toilet cannot pump)

I booked the refurbished room, which is large, cozy, and comfortable, making it suitable for families. However, there is an unpleasant smell, possibly from the renovation or from previous guests who smoked in the room. Perhaps the hotel could use some scents to improve the smell. As for breakfast, the queue was quite long, and the food choices were limited. Other than that, everything else was good.

Location ok. Hotel receptionist attend check in with short time. Bed sheet and pillow have some smell. Room also have paint smell but still acceptable. Breakfast not fantastic, limited choices! Should have some improvement and upgrade on the variety of foods.
