Had a lovely katsu chicken curry which was great value for money and was served by a friendly waitress called Becky who went above and beyond to help. The pub has a great atmosphere and I would highly recommend going for the bingo or pub quiz!!!

Booked a room for an overnight stop to break a long journey. Nice welcome. Room small but perfectly formed. Obviously recently redecorated. Bed comfortable, coffee making welcome. Visted bar for a couple of pints of nice Bank's beer. I couldn't connect to the wifi because of a very strange technical issue that defeated me! Staff helpled me with a table and nearby power point so I could check my messages via my own systems. It was Bingo night, very busy, grateful for the assistance. Only one minor issue - there was no plug on the end of the chain in the washbasin. I had the solution however! All in all, for the price I paid, I was very satisfied.

Fantastic find room lovely and clean. Ample tea coffe etc. Fluffy towels and a great heater. Bed very comfy. .Very nice breakfast at a reasonable price. 20 min walk into town plenty if pubs on the way. Limited parking on site but on street parking is avaliable.

This is my second time staying at this establishment, as it is excellent value for money. Location is a 15 minute walk into town, plus it is on a bus route. I was greeted with a warm and friendly welcome by all staff, who all seem very happy in their roles. I was able to leave my overnight bag before and after my stay. I was allocated room 4 (single room) on the first floor. My room was nice and warm upon my arrival, thanks to the controllable heater being on. Room is small and adequate, with a spacious ensuite (bath, with shower tap attachment). Overall, it was very clean, with a comfortable bed, hot drinks station, inc bottle of water, wall safe and TV. Full English breakfast, inc hot drink and toast is only £6.25. I also had dinner in the pub, which was reasonably priced, very tasty and plentiful. The Guinness was very good also!
