Extremely proud to be a contributing voice to the The Private Infrastructure Development Group and University of Exeter's Africa Climate Solutions Report, which unpacks Investing in Infrastructure for Climate Resilience across Africa. The report launched yesterday, is timely, and provides a practical source of information that highlights the risks in different regions within Africa that investors and players in the region need to be mindful of. It also tackles the climate conversation, in a human centric approach, which makes it easier for the reader to understand. Africa is keen to take charge of its narrative, and this report creates a road map to drive an informed way forward to explore barriers to bankability and potential solutions in unlocking the same. It’s exciting to have this reference point especially after cities, the built environment, the urban agenda and local governments have built a lot of momentum at COP28, which is exciting for me both individually and for the Kenya Green Building Society, and wider green building movement at the World Green Building Council in Africa.
