Notice of invitation to tender for the subsidy on consignment of husked long-grain B rice to Réunion

I. SUBJECT
1. |
A tendering procedure is hereby opened for the subsidy referred to in Article 5 of Council Regulation (EC) No 1785/2003 (1) for consignment to Réunion of husked long-grain B rice falling within CN code 1006 20 98. |
2. |
The total quantity for which a maximum consignment subsidy may be fixed in accordance with Article 6(3) of Commission Regulation (EEC) No 2692/89 (2) is approximately 10 000 tonnes. |
3. |
The tendering procedure will be conducted in accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 2033/2004 (3). |
II. TIME LIMITS
1. |
The period in which tenders for the first of these regular invitations to tender can be submitted will run from 13 December 2004 to 16 December 2004 at 10 a.m. (Brussels time). |
2. |
For the subsequent regular invitations to tender, the time limit for submitting tenders will expire on the following Thursdays at 10.00 a.m.: 13 January 2005, 27 January 2005, 10 February 2005, 24 February 2005, 10 March 2005, 31 March 2005, 14 April 2005, 28 April 2005, 12 May 2005, 26 May 2005, 9 June 2004 and 23 June 2005. The period for the submission of tenders will commence on the Monday before the closing date in each case. |

The very last period for submitting tenders will begin on 20 June 2005 and end on 23 June 2005 at 10.00 a.m. |
4. |
This notice is published only for the purposes of this present invitation to tender. Until such time as it is amended or replaced, this notice will apply to all regular invitations to tender made during the period of validity of this tendering procedure. |
III. TENDERS
1. |
Tenders must be submitted in writing and include the information referred to in Article 7(2) of Regulation (EEC) No 2692/89. They must be delivered no later than the dates and times indicated in Title II by personal delivery against a receipt, by registered post by fax or by e-mail, to one of the following addresses:
Tenders not submitted by fax or e-mail must be enclosed in a sealed enveloped. The inside envelope must also be sealed and marked ‘Tender under invitation to tender for the subsidy for the consignment of rice to Réunion as provided for in Regulation (EC) No 2033/2004 — Confidential’. |
2. |
The tender, as well as the proof referred to in Article 7 of Regulation (EEC) No 2692/89, must be worded in the official language or one of the official languages of the Member State whose competent authority received the tender. |
IV. TENDER SECURITY
The tender security must be made out in favour of the competent authority concerned.
V. AWARD OF CONTRACTS
The award of contract will entitle the party concerned to be issued, in the Member State in which the tender was submitted, with a subsidy document mentioning the subsidy referred to in the tender and the quantity in question.
