7. Action taken on Parliament's positions and resolutions
The Commission communications on the action taken on the positions and resolutions adopted by Parliament during the part-sessions in February and March 2005 had been distributed.
8. Written declarations (Rule 116)
In accordance with Rule 116(5), written declarations 2, 3, 4/2005 lapsed as they had not obtained the required number of signatures.
9. Membership of Parliament
Ottaviano Del Turco had given notice in writing that he had been elected President of the Abruzzi region in Italy.
Since, pursuant to Rule 4(4) of its Rules of Procedure and Article 7(1) of the Act concerning the election of representatives of the European Parliament by direct universal suffrage, this office was incompatible with that of Member of the European Parliament, Parliament established that the vacancy would take effect from 02.05.2005 and informed the Member State concerned thereof.
10. Membership of committees
At the request of the PPE-DE Group, Parliament ratified the following appointment:

He objected to the fact that the Dombrovskis report (A6-0106/2005) on Parliament's estimates for 2006 had been included on Wednesday's agenda, maintaining that this was due to a procedural error (the President replied that he had received a letter on the subject from Mr Martin and that he would send Mr Martin a written answer).
