Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 104/2000 of 30 November 2000 amending Annex II (Technical regulations, standards, testing and certification) to the EEA Agreement THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as adjusted by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Annex II to the Agreement was amended by Decision No 72/2000 of the EEA Joint Committee of 2 October 2000(1). (2) Directive 2000/4/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 February 2000 amending Council Directive 74/60/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to the interior fittings of motor vehicles (interior parts of the passenger compartment other than the interior rear-view mirrors, layout of controls, the roof or sliding roof, the backrest and rear part of the seats)(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (3) Directive 2000/7/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 March 2000 on speedometers for two- or three-wheel motor vehicles and amending Council Directive 92/61/EEC on the type-approval for two- or three-wheel motor vehicles(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (4) Directive 2000/8/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 March 2000 amending Council Directive 70/221/EEC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to liquid fuel tanks and rear underrun protection of motor vehicles and their trailers(4) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (5) The adaptation to Council Directive 92/61/EEC of 30 June 1992 relating to the type-approval of two or three-wheel motor vehicles(5) needs to be adjusted following the accession of Austria, Finland and Sweden to the European Union, HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS: Article 1 The following indent shall be added in point 4 (Council Directive 70/221/EEC) in Chapter I of Annex II to the Agreement: "- 32000 L 0008: Directive 2000/8/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 March 2000 (OJ L 106, 3.5.2000, p. 7)." Article 2 The following indent shall be added in point 13 (Council Directive 74/60/EEC) in Chapter I of Annex II to the Agreement: "- 32000 L 0004: Directive 2000/4/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 February 2000 (OJ L 87, 8.4.2000, p. 22)." Article 3 Point 45f (Council Directive 92/61/EEC) in Chapter I of Annex II to the Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. The following shall be added: "as amended by: - 32000 L 0007: Directive 2000/7/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 20 March 2000 (OJ L 106, 3.5.2000, p. 1)." 2. In the adaptation, the first, second and sixth indent, giving the entries for Austria, Finland and Sweden respectively, shall be deleted. Article 4 The texts of Directives 2000/4/EC, 2000/7/EC and 2000/8/EC in the Icelandic and Norwegian languages, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic. Article 5 This Decision shall enter into force on 1 December 2000, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(6). Article 6 This Decision shall be published in the EEA section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities. Done at Brussels, 30 November 2000.
