COUNCIL IMPLEMENTING DECISION 2011/236/CFSP
of 12 April 2011
implementing Decision 2011/137/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Libya
THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,
Having regard to Council Decision 2011/137/CFSP of 28 February 2011 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Libya (1), and in particular Article 8(1) and (2) thereof, in conjunction with Article 31(2) of the Treaty on European Union,
Whereas:
(1) |
On 28 February 2011, the Council adopted Decision 2011/137/CFSP concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Libya. |
(2) |
In view of the gravity of the situation in Libya, additional persons and entities should be included in the list of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures as set out in Annex IV to Decision 2011/137/CFSP. |
(3) |
Furthermore, one person should be removed from the lists in Annexes II and IV, and the information relating to certain persons and entities on the lists in Annexes I, II, III, and IV to that Decision should be updated, |
HAS ADOPTED THIS DECISION:
Article 1
Annexes I, II, III, and IV to Decision 2011/137/CFSP shall be replaced by the text set out in Annexes I, II, III, and IV respectively to this Decision.
Article 2
This Decision shall enter into force on the date of its adoption.
