Decision of the EEA Joint Committee No 144/2001 of 11 December 2001 amending Annex I (Veterinary and phytosanitary matters) to the EEA Agreement THE EEA JOINT COMMITTEE, Having regard to the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as amended by the Protocol adjusting the Agreement on the European Economic Area, hereinafter referred to as "the Agreement", and in particular Article 98 thereof, Whereas: (1) Annex I to the Agreement was amended by Decision No 131/2001 of the EEA Joint Committee of 23 November 2001(1). (2) Commission Decision 2000/502/EC of 25 July 2000 amending Decision 93/42/EEC concerning additional guarantees relating to infectious bovine rhinotracheitis for bovines destined for certain parts of the territory of the Community free from the disease and repealing Decisions 95/109/EC and 98/580/EC(2) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (3) Commission Decision 2000/504/EC of 25 July 2000 establishing transitional measures with regard to testing for bovine tuberculosis within the framework of Council Directive 64/432/EEC(3) is to be incorporated into the Agreement. (4) This Decision is not to apply to Iceland and Liechtenstein, HAS DECIDED AS FOLLOWS: Article 1 Part 4.2 of Chapter I of Annex I to the Agreement shall be amended as follows: 1. The following indent shall be added in point 12 (Commission Decision 93/42/EEC): "- 32000 D 0502: Commission Decision 2000/502/EC of 25 July 2000 (OJ L 200, 8.8.2000, p. 62)." 2. The text of points 27 (Commission Decision 95/109/EC) and 45 (Commission Decision 98/580/EC) under the heading "ACTS OF WHICH THE EFTA STATES AND THE EFTA SURVEILLANCE AUTHORITY SHALL TAKE DUE ACCOUNT" shall be deleted. 3. The following point shall be inserted after point 55 (Commission Decision 2000/330/EC): "56. 32000 D 0504: Commission Decision 2000/504/EC of 25 July 2000 establishing transitional measures with regard to testing for bovine tuberculosis within the framework of Council Directive 64/432/EEC (OJ L 201, 9.8.2000, p. 6)." Article 2 The texts of Decisions 2000/502/EC and 2000/504/EC in the Norwegian language, to be published in the EEA Supplement to the Official Journal of the European Communities, shall be authentic. Article 3 This Decision shall enter into force on 12 December 2001, provided that all the notifications under Article 103(1) of the Agreement have been made to the EEA Joint Committee(4). Article 4 This Decision shall be published in the EEA section of, and in the EEA Supplement to, the Official Journal of the European Communities. Done at Brussels, 11 December 2001.
