♻️Betolar is accelerating the circular economy with its artificial intelligence-assisted sidestream analysis method♻️ The utilization of sidestreams has been discussed for decades, but the materials are still not being optimally utilized. The SidePrime analysis method represents a significant step forward in the broader local utilization of sidestreams. Key to the successful utilization of sidestreams is knowing the technical properties of the sidestreams, investigating their safety and environmental impacts, creating a functioning cooperation network and strong commercial expertise. “For example, with Betolar’s cloud-based AI platform, we have analyzed and modeled data from over 250 different industrial sidestreams, which allows us to optimize concrete and geopolymer recipes in terms of strength and other properties,” says Olli Kilpeläinen (VP Data Platform and Ecosystem) about the company’s work to replace cement in concrete production with binders made from sidestreams from the steel, mining, forestry and energy industries. With other Finnish mining industry companies, Betolar has been connecting with growing mining sector in Tanzania and is eager to search possibilities to help the industry to transform to more sustainable and circular material use. This week we are participating in the Tanzania Mining and Investment Conference in Dar es Salaam to further deepen these relationships.

Collaboration news! Betolar and Saudi Readymix Concrete Co (SRMCC), the leading producer and supplier of ready-mixed concrete products in Saudi Arabia, have partnered to achieve a significant milestone in sustainable concrete technology. The joint project, running from 2023 to 2024, has successfully developed breakthrough low-carbon concrete recipes, tailored to meet the growing demand for sustainable solutions in Saudi Arabia. Ahmad Alzaza, Senior Researcher at Betolar, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration: "This project pushed the boundaries of innovation by bringing low-carbon technology into the ready-mix concrete space. Betolar's Q3 Business Review is out: Key figures January- September 2024: -Net sales amounted to EUR 551 thousand (EUR 298 thousand) -EBITDA amounted to EUR -4,623 thousand (EUR -8,811 thousand) -Cash and cash equivalents and short-term fund investments at the end of the period amounted to EUR 10,748 thousand (EUR 14,989 thousand) -Order intake amounted to EUR 732 thousand (EUR 394 thousand) -The number of new NRE projects was 6 (4) -The number of new pilot customers was 4 (23) -The average number of employees was 49 (62) Main events in brief: -Betolar and Norge Mineraler signed a Memorandum of Understanding to develop sustainable mining solutions in Norway. -Betolar signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Latitude 66 limited to cooperate in exploring sustainable mining solutions for the development of Latitude 66 Limited´s Kuusamo cobalt mining project in Northern Finland. -Betolar acquired MetalCirc Ltd’s patent regarding treatment of waste combustion ashes. -Betolar was granted a patent in Finland enabling the large-scale use of sidestreams in road, soil and ground construction. -Betolar was granted a patent in Finland for CEM III/B accelerator solution. -Betolar successfully completed the directed share issue of 1,960,688 new shares raising EUR 2.35 million. -On 30 August 2024, Ahlström Invest B.V. sold all its shares in Betolar Plc.
