  • 🩰 "A dance – not a fight" : The transformation of the historical Købmagergade 42 🔨 At the heart of Copenhagen, just steps from the Round Tower, stands Købmagergade 42 – a property that has been part of the city's history since 1895. The former department store and business school was acquired by CapMan Real Estate in 2019 with the vision of transforming it into an office space that meets modern standards while honouring its historical roots. Over the past few years, Købmagergade 42 has undergone a remarkable transformation, led by the expertise of Sweco Architects Denmark. The refurbishment carefully preserved the building's heritage and architectural style while integrating modern, sustainable solutions. Today, it stands as a contemporary office headquarters for AIP Management, showcasing restored architectural details and thoughtful design. The project was recently featured in Byggeri + Arkitektur magazine, where you can read more about the transformation (in Danish). Link in the comments. 📸 Photos by Sweco/Niels Nygaard.

💫 Together for a Better Future 💫 On November 27th the CapMan managed Tukikummit Foundation (Tukikummit Säätiö) organized its annual charity event for the benefit of children and youth bringing together participants to hear influential speeches and support an important cause. This event, now in its ninth year, continued the tradition of directing all proceeds to the Tukikummit Foundation without any deductions. The founder of the Tukikummit Foundation, President Sauli Niinistö, opened the event by emphasizing the importance of hope in our contemporary society and the significance of sharing positive messages, especially during challenging times. "As basic living costs increase, the role of organizations like Tukikummit as bearers of hope and security grows. Without financial support, many families face tough decisions, such as giving up children's recreational opportunities, which can, in the worst case, increase the risk of falling outside our society. However, it is encouraging to see that the desire to help remains strong. We are deeply grateful to all the companies and individuals in the CapMan network who have committed to supporting a better future for the youth," shares Joakim Frimodig, Chairman of the CapMan Board and Chairman of the Tukikummit Foundation. Together with the Tukikummit Foundation (Tukikummit Säätiö) CapMan presents a warm thank you to all donors. Read more on our website. Link in comments. ⤵️

  • Today, Peter Gill, Partner and Head of CapMan Real Estate Denmark, took the stage at PwC Danmark’s Conference on the Real Estate Market 2024. 🏠 The past two years have presented challenges in bringing real estate sellers and buyers to a common understanding. This year’s conference therefore focused on "The good deal in a difficult market" – the topic of Peter’s speech. Peter set the scene by discussing current expectations and trends, arguing that we are at the bottom of the market and positioned for improvement. He shared his expertise on navigating the complexities of today's real estate landscape, focusing on how to identify and secure favourable deals through data-driven analysis. Recognising value drivers, including those often overlooked by investors, is crucial. Peter also emphasised the importance of understanding counterparties’ perspectives to create mutually beneficial agreements, while considering the interests of other stakeholders. Thank you to everyone who attended and listened!
