Martti Ahtisaari Legacy Seminar about to begin at the European Parliament in Brussels. Conversations about peace are urgently needed in a situation where the space for it has narrowed. At a critical time for the EU and the world, the Brussels event seeks to bring the peace agenda to the centre of attention of the newly elected European Parliament and the newly appointed European college. The seminar is co-organised with the European Parliament, Ireland and Finland. #peaceisaquestionofwill #ahtisaarilegacy

Currently at Tampere Peace Day, the Finnish peacemaking ecosystem and invited experts engage in thought-provoking discussions on the future of peace. This year’s theme, "(Re)Searching Peace," challenges participants to critically rethink peace and explore how peace research and practice can adapt to the pluralities of peace. We are bridging the gap between research and practice while exploring emerging agencies and practices in an era marked by increasing contestation and global crises. Tampere Peace Day is organized by the Tampere Peace Research Institute (TAPRI), CMI – Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation, Finn Church Aid (FCA), and The Finnish Evangelical Lutheran Mission (FELM).
