Today we were invited to M-Files HQ with 5 of our Demola teams to share thoughts and ideas with the industry experts. Topics include AI, mental wellbeing, sustainability, etc... Co-creation between companies, organization and talents is our bread and butter in Demola. There are no quick wins in innovation, but the big strategic topics and thoughts from both sides can accelerate the discovery and reveal the "blind spots" in our daily grind. Yesterday marked the end of an incredible journey as part of the first cohort of 2024 with Demola Global , an interdisciplinary program that brought together teams focused on diverse areas such as Skills of Tomorrow, Sustainable Travel and Tourism, Food Safety, Data Protection, Government Transparency, and my own team - Drones in Agriculture. As part of the Drones in Agriculture team, we explored the application of drones in the agricultural sector, with a particular emphasis on livestock farming sustainability and animal welfare. This experience has been truly eye-opening, and I am grateful for the opportunity to work with my talented team members Emilia Nangombe ANDY LOKADI Lazarus Sitentu Steven Muronga. Thank you, Demola Global and NUST Namibia , and all stakeholders involved for this incredible opportunity and experience over the last 3 months. The university will launch the new work life integration programme West Coast Gateway for international Master’s students next academic year.   – We want to ensure that students have the opportunity to meet employers in the Ostrobothnia region throughout their studies. This way, the employment opportunities in the region will become more familiar to them and their talent potential will not be lost elsewhere when they graduate, says Talent Hub Manager Hanna Turpeinen.   A co-created pilot course was organised this spring with Demola. 🤝 Collaboration between Demola and Porsche Engineering We are delighted to be part of the Demola Global project; a global innovation platform that brings together students, companies and universities with the goal of overcoming current challenges in development. By working on real projects, this collaboration enables students and companies to work together on innovative solutions to shape the future of mobility and address future trends in the automotive industry. It is a month since the Demola mid-event in #Tampere and yesterday it was time for the spring 2024 Demola cohort final event to celebrate the progress and super interesting findings by our innovation teams! Interaction with industry and public sector partners create significant value for all parties involved and we are so happy to be back with in-person events here in Finland as well. Tampere programme is developing rapidly and big thanks to all team members, our partners including Tampereen kaupunki - City of Tampere, M-Files, Wärtsilä, Business Finland, Platform6 Startup House, and of course our wonderful expert team Joonas Kemppainen, Heini-Marja Rintaniemi, Lucas Machado, Janne Eskola! Our purpose is to bring together next generation experts, industry, public sector and academia, and continuously increase the ambition level of the co-creation to contribute in solving some of the biggest problems of our society. We know, it requires multiple innovations on the way and experience has shown that there are no unique local problems. Thus global perspectives are essential to look from outside when searching more 'simple' ways forward in very complex environment. Parallel to the international final event tour and continuing work with the current innovation teams in #startup development phase, our experts are analysing the results and working with partners to build the next project portfolio to be launched world-wide for 2H/24. Super interesting discussions with industry partners, academic colleagues and Demola Innovation teams in #Windhoek, #Namibia. We are exploring opportunities in areas of sustainable tourism, transparent governance, data privacy, authentic branding, drones in agriculture, food safety, skills for tomorrow. We established strong strategic partnership with NUST Namibia in 2022 to connect Namibian innovators and African perspective to Global innovation projects and we are starting to see the first very promising results from this valuable cooperation. Thanks Silas Newaka, Delia Weimers-Maasdorp, Dr Colin Stanley, Erold Naomab, Valerie Garises, Kuda Brandt, Edwin Kavihuha and everyone participating in co-creation and making this possible! This week started in Portugal by 10 innovation team Demola kick-off with Instituto Politécnico de Santarém and continued in Czech Republic by Demola mid-event and startup programme bootcamp in Ostrava, with MSIC - Moravskoslezské inovační centrum. In Demola, we and our corporate partners are interested in university students' opinions as next generation lead users. New perspectives very often open fascinating opportunities that at first sight look sometimes weird and sometimes even impossible :) In Czech Republic, our partners Porsche Engineering and Tietoevry have very strategic and long-term view to innovation which creates very good foundation for new innovation work. Special thanks Mika Lautanala for joining the event and representing Embassy of Finland in Prague and your active contribution with the co-creation and connecting CZ and FI companies! With the startups, we at Demola Global have the opportunity to use our cumulative knowledge-base and insights from global co-creation programme to enhance understanding of changing customer needs, preferences, and value-creation opportunities. The next cohort of our Demola Ventures startup programme starts actually in Tampere (https://lnkd.in/dY-AQ8KU) and will be followed immediately by next research commercialisation programme in Portugal.

Launching new Demola cohort in #Finland today in Mikkeli with our fantastic partners Mikkelin kaupunki - City of Mikkeli and Xamk - South-Eastern Finland University of Applied Sciences! Thanks for great cooperation Aki Kauranen! My colleagues Joonas Kemppainen and Heini-Marja Rintaniemi and XAMK Demola fellows Helena Merikoski and Niko Arola are co-creating with the teams to utilise our cumulative Demola knowledge-base and connecting the teams and partners with our Demola ecosystem in Finland and internationally. This season we are exploring new trends and opportunities of circular economy solutions in construction industry, ways to strengthen entrepreneurial culture in the region, integration of international talents with businesses, and revolution of autonomous services in our society.
