💡 Key Insights from the DigiEduHack2024 Main Stage Panel Discussions 🌍 This year’s panels delved into critical topics shaping the future of digital education. Here are the key insights: - Building an Innovative Digital Education Ecosystem: Panelists highlighted the urgent need to bridge the digital divide by investing in infrastructure and digital skills. They stressed the importance of global collaboration, as no single country can tackle these challenges alone. Supporting teachers with tools and training is essential for adapting to rapid technological changes. - The Role of AI in Education: AI has the power to personalize learning, support teachers, and foster critical thinking among students. However, proper and ethical use is vital to ensure AI becomes a tool for positive impact, not a source of inequality or misuse. - Digital Skills and Literacy: With 43% of 15-year-olds lacking basic digital skills, according to the International Computer and Information Literacy Study (ICILS), the need for digital literacy is more pressing than ever. Investments in education and skill-building can prepare students and educators to navigate and thrive in a tech-driven world. These discussions reinforced the importance of collaboration, innovation, and ethical considerations in shaping the future of digital education. 🌍🇪🇺 Advancing digital education with EdTech Talents Horizon Europe 🤖🌍 We are honored to represent Óbuda University in the EdTech Talents Horizon Europe project, a transformative initiative led by Tallinn University, aimed at strengthening EdTech ecosystems in Hungary, Estonia, and Serbia (University of Novi Sad, Faculty of Sciences). This collaboration unites academia, innovators, and industry leaders to foster mentorship, knowledge transfer, and innovative solutions that address the future of digital education. 💡 EdTech Talents in action: As part of this impactful initiative, we participated in a series of events hosted by Tallinn University, including the DigiEduHack Main Stage Event and capacity-building workshops. These activities offered an inspiring platform to: - Engage with leading experts in digital education and innovation, - Share perspectives on AI’s role in learning environments, and - Explore best practices in bridging the gap between industry and academia in EdTech ecosystems. ✨ Highlights included panel discussions with experts such as policymakers, EdTech innovators, and educators, as well as interactive workshops on effective public speaking and personal branding on social media - valuable tools for amplifying the project’s reach and impact. We are grateful to our consortium partners for fostering such a dynamic and collaborative environment. These experiences further strengthened our role in the project and reinforced our commitment to advancing #digital #education in #Europe. Thank you to all involved for your contributions to this exciting journey. Proud to share that my team won the DigiEduHack hosted by Aravaca Innovation Lab and supported by the European Commission. The challenge was to explore "Disruptive Technologies in Education", a topic close to my heart. As students, we focused on real challenges we’ve experienced firsthand, particularly around #learningdisabilities and difficulties. Our proposal, Augmenta, aims to address these issues and create solutions that provide equal opportunities in education. While still an idea, we believe Augmenta has the potential to grow into a meaningful project that could make a real difference in the future. Thank you to the organizers and to my team for their dedication throughout this journey. Carolina Naval | Lubin Ye | Alba López González | Yimin Zhou #DigiEduHack #Innovation #DisruptiveTech
