The Elekta Kaiku Team hosted its annual customer event in Barcelona,Spain this weekend. We were joined by health care professionals and life sciences partners from throughout our open ecosystem from all around the globe. The evening included a symposium in which our speakers, Dr. Razvan Andrei Popescu MD, FRCP, FESMO from Tumor Zentrum Aarau in Switzerland, Katri Siltanen from Docrates Mehiläinen Syöpäsairaala | Cancersjukhus | Cancer Center in Finland and Christina Kotsi from Bayer, each shared their own perspectives on digital health interventions and how it is transforming oncology care. Patients with prostate cancer at Nordlandssykehuset in Norway will now receive digital follow-up through the Kaiku Health platform. Nordlandssykehuset HF has adopted the platform to monitor patients undergoing a newer type of hormone therapy for prostate cancer. This initiative expands the hospital's use of Elekta's Kaiku Health platform, which already supports over 300 patients patients across multiple treatment groups. Nordlandssykehuset har nå tatt i bruk appen Elekta Kaiku også for oppfølging av pasienter som får nyere type hormonbehandling mot prostatakreft. - Det er en stor pasientgruppe som får dette tilbudet, sier enhetsleder Sølvia Laksosnes ved Avdeling for Kreft og lindrende behandling i Nordlandssykehuset.
