An unique co-creation challenge ‘LITERACY 2.0: Bridging Tradition And Tech’ is held on 28.11.-30.11.2024 in City Center campus of Helsinki. What is LITERACY 2.0? ‘LITERACY 2.0: Bridging Tradition And Tech’ is a three-day multidisciplinary co-creation challenge held by Helsinki Education Hub and Helsinki Think Company. It aims to find answers to wicked problems of multiliteracy today. In the challenge the participant gets to dive deep into the themes of critical literacy, multiliteracy and how to use artificial intelligence to our benefit. During the challenge participants get to challenge themselves, test their skills, and learn from experts on the educational field. Helsinki Think Company and Helsinki Education Hub bring you ‘LITERACY 2.0: Bridging Tradition and Tech’, a challenge where you get to develop solutions to relevant topics related to literacy today. You get to do it with the guidance of our expert mentors. Get to know the mentors: 🗯️ Mervi Palander is a founder and a CEO at GraphoGame, and has over 25 years experience in the EdTech industry for example as an advisor and an active board member of different companies and associations. Mervi thinks LITERACY 2.0 is crucial because it brings diverse expertise together to address complex educational needs. 🗯️ Niko Lindholm is a Senior Business Advisor and Edtech Innovation Lead, who has built Edtech for 15 years in 4 different countries. Niko thinks discovering the issues and possibilities of multiliteracy is an important theme of the co-creation challenge as it is both a local and a global challenge. 🗯️ Perttu Ervelius is a teacher trainer and a digital learning specialist, who has experience in developing educational technology and conducting hands-on pedagogical research aimed at enhancing learning in a digitalizing world. Perttu thinks LITERACY 2.0 is interesting for combining diverse expertise to create innovative solutions for the complex needs of modern literacy in a tech-driven world. 🗯️ Antto Wirman is a developer teacher that has nearly 20 years experience in comprehensive school. He also has a background in technology and maker culture with experience as a project trainer. Antto thinks that the theme of the co-creation challenge is important because it fosters collaboration and innovation, driving meaningful solutions to real world problems.
