  • How do you feel about destroying stuff without your neighbour calling the cops on ya? I feel amazing about it. Smash Room is a company that offers you the rare opportunity smash the heck out of stuff like printers (I hate them so much), computers, plates and so on.. You name it. Perfekt outing for a pikkujoulu-party with the company! And I had the pleasure the create the logo. Playful, modern, visible and practical. With a viking inspired sledgehammer and a thick display font this is the result.

  • Wasa Brewing Company have been busy bees this summer, with festivals and brewing a bunch, and I'm happy to see it. Yours truly made the label for their cold ipa called MIXIEI. The name comes from the Finnish words "miksi ei" which translates into "why not" and for some reason I just got into my head that I wanted ice and blue colours for this one.. Maybe it was the "cold" in the name.. The WBC guys really liked the first draft of the label, which is this one, so we ran with it. What do you think of this design, does it work in your eyeballs? 💎❄🐳

  • A logo for MassageMental we created. Massage Mental is a newly founded company offering, you guessed it, massage services. But it doesn’t end there. Thomas behind MM has a more ‘holistic’ approach to his business philosophy, he truly cares about your whole wellbeing. He is a very educated, professional and harmonious person. He has a sort of calming energy about his whole persona, you feel safe, which is absolutely of high value when working with such an intimate and physical profession. So naturally I have zero doubts about whether his company will succeed or not. He already massaged my brain.. So to speak. As a goal-oriented and professional person, Thomas knows what he wants, and what he doesn’t want. I respect that. My goal is a happy Thomas with a successful business, always. The revisions were a ton, I’m not gonna pretend there weren't a lot of changes, the “meta” symbolics in this logo is on another level. Let’s go through some of them. The hands speak on their own, they also make the shape of a heart, wholesome and caring. The icon also has the shape of a “M” as in “Massage” and “Mental”. With waves and water connecting the whole thing to the lotus flower, which was of great importance for Thomas. I wanted, or I always want, a THICK font for the logo. Why? So you can see the damn thing. Often spa and massage fonts have this thin, cursive, blog/diary font and I wanted to move away from that. Harmonious, calm, BIG, retro and modern, do you think it works? Maybe a bit different from what one normally goes for. I also wanted the logo to function great with merch, like why not? Why not walk around with a MassageMental t-shirt? I want one and I want others to want one too. So I did a few variations of the logo to suit this need. I have booked my first massage (of many) with Thomas and MassageMental this monday. He has his studio on the 4th floor in the BioRex building here in Vasa, Finland.

  • This is a logo I made for a therapist in Värmdö, Sweden, called 'Skärgårdsterapi'. My instructions regarding this logo was to create something not typical, calming, and referring to the archipelago. Then one thinks of islands, the sea, wild life, calm, blue, green. Maybe you think of something completely different? So to accompany the calmness and safety of a therapist I wanted a more abstract form, with round and soft edges to it, nothing sharp, nothing completely clear. Something safe, light and personal. The shape is more reminiscent of a painting or something made out of ceramics. The logo itself could be a conversation starter with their clients. The icon itself is a sun, with the sunlight hitting the sea below it, creating reflections in the sea. With a funny looking bird flying over it, and silhouette trees to tie in the ‘archipelago’ even more. The whole thing is not straight, it’s a bit wobbly and artsy, to create a relaxed/personal/low treshold wibe. The client and myself are pleased with the outcome. And I wish them all the best with their ventures coming this fall.

  • My friend and stand-up comedian Jonathan Lagerquist wanted to do stand-up shows with known and lesser known artists in his hometown of Vasa. And I wanted to help him with his endeavour, so I made the poster and some marketing material to be used for the show Stand-Up På Svenska. Many times I judge a design based on how scalable it is, how responsive the elements are, can you make a fb-event/ig reel/poster with the same design that you made? If yes, good job. The practical first, aesthetics second. This event will take place at DOM Munkhaus this Wednesday, so you still have time to join!

  • This is a bit personal. A big motivational factor for starting my company was Ben Bergman from Multitronic Pro. Even going as far as calling me up on a regular basis and checking in on me. I had a rough time. But they’ve shown me nothing but an immense belief, care and trust in both my craft and person. Which I will always remember and respect. I think we both believe that being a good person is also good business. At least trying as best we can. We have renewed their brand and name. They are now Abero Technologies Oy. Modern, inclusive, bold, clean and professional is the path we took. The logo icon took a while to hash out, we had four versions in total, which we all thought looked good. But we landed on the one I called “DNA” which symbolizes the letters ‘A’ and ‘B’, as in Abero, and a “arrow” pointing upwards for progress and development. Like a statistics curve. It also illustrates a cut-off strand of DNA. While working on a design a lot of times you don’t really know what you end up with. You kind of know what symbolism you need and want in it. I also did the web design and development for their new website which can be found on Abero.fi. I wanted a clean and practical design to optimize search engines E-A-T. Did a lot of breakpoints for the responsive versions for it, so let’s hope it looks dashing in most devices. Abero Technologies Oy gave me a lot of freedom to explore this design and we are all very pleased with the outcome. The pictures were taken by Antonomia and copywriting by Genero.

  • I made the logo for my friend Nikke's new club evening for +35 year olds, so we have somewhere to discuss mortgage payments with each other in peace. Naaah, hopefully some dancing and canoodling! These are some inspirational pictures I created to accompany the logo. We wanted something retro, modern and fun. First thought that pops into my head is Donald Duck, Södermalm and Hellacopters. I love making design where you don't have to throttle your choices, but go all in. The event takes place on the 9.3. at 19.00, Sandviksvillan basement, look for the FB-event.

  • Some random stuff. This was originally meant for my own t-shirt design. It was meant to have some text about plants and sustainability, the working title of it was 'I AM PLANTS', 'cause we are basically plants walking around. I have no idea what to use it for, but at least it's not left in a dusty folder on my computer now. It's HEAVILY inspired (almost stolen) by a classic animated movie. I got so taken away by the colours in a certain scene in it. Can you tell which movie it is inspired by?

  • Haven't updated my social media in a while 'cause I'm working on a few extensive projects. On the 16-18.2. the beloved Ostrobothnia Filmfest return to Ritz in Vaasa in a new shape and as a joint production with Skafferiet r.f. and Film i Österbotten. I've been a part of both organizations and loved the film festival, such a cozy feeling around it all. The poster I made. I want people to stop and look at it, I wasn't trying to be trendy or any of that nonsense, I just want people to stop and say "What the heck is that?!". Maybe it works!? I tried out some 3D styling with a cloudy balloony-vibe.
