About us
Years ago we already knew that single use items are not the future solution. Nature Line Cutlery Oy is a privately owned Finnish company, founded in January 2020 through a business acquisition. The idea of reusable cutlery made from renewable materials was born many years earlier. During our development work, we partnered with forest industry giants UPM and Stora Enso to create a responsible solution that serves customers and consumers around the world to decrease disposable consumption. Our products are manufactured in Outokumpu, North Karelia, Eastern Finland. We continually improve our products to meet a growing global demand of ecological cutlery. Our product line is available in our Nature Line brand or in custom packaging for private label brands. Today, our products can be found in more than 20 countries globally, and we continuously develop our offering to meet growing demand of ecological products with a highest food safety and quality. We are a flexible and efficient partner, whose cornerstones are speed of operation, quality of service and high-quality safe products. We also continue developing constantly new solutions and products to fulfil customer demands. Our ambition is to be leading supplier and brand of the sustainable cutlery, creating innovative designs and ecological solutions in kitchen utensils. Our mission is simple: better future. Our goal: leading the way towards replacing all single-use and fossil-based cutlery and kitchen item with reusable ecological products.

Moving forward, the biobased raw material for our cutlery will be exclusively supplied by Woodcomposite Sweden AB, using the same composition that our customers already know and trust. 💡 Change: Since 2020, Nature Line Cutlery has been manufacturing wood fiber cutlery from patented biocomposite. In the summer of 2024, our long-time partner and raw material supplier, UPM, prepared to discontinue its biocomposite production. For us, it was clear that the production of wood fiber cutlery in Outokumpu will continue, especially in a market where demand is once again on the rise. ♻️ Sustainability: In a competitive market, we stand out due to our nearly 100% renewable, wood-based raw material, the unique user experience of our products, and our smartly automated production process. Markku joins us from Midsona Finland Oy, where he has successfully worked as CEO for the past 9 years. Markku's extensive experience in both non-food and food sales and marketing will be a valuable addition to our company's management. He has previously worked in various management positions at Transmeri Oy both domestically and internationally. In addition, Markku has been a member of Midsona Group and Midsona's Nordic Management Team. We would also like to take this opportunity to thank Tuomas Sairanen, who has been interim CEO for the past six months. As planned, Tuomas will continue in his previous position as CFO.
