🕊️ How can we strengthen strategies of engagement and inclusion with traditional and indigenous peoples in peacebuilding? 🔵 In recent years, there has been increasing recognition among international humanitarian, development, and peace sectors of the crucial role played by traditional communities and Indigenous Peoples in peacebuilding and conflict resolution. The peacebuilding initiatives of traditional and Indigenous Peoples have been instrumental in fragile contexts, and these leaders have a unique connection to their communities with considerable legitimacy, and influence at the local level, especially in remote areas where the state has minimal presence. On December 10, our Inclusivity Community of Practice hosted an online webinar, bringing together traditional and Indigenous peacebuilders to explore how these communities can partner to advance sustainable and inclusive peacebuilding efforts. Missed the webinar? Read the highlights here 🔗 https://buff.ly/4gQjodN
