How can RFID increase the sustainability of your business? RAIN RFID surveyed 20 companies back in April on this – and it’s really interesting stuff! 🤩 If you missed the report, here are the highlights: 🔍 Supply chain traceability is emerging as a huge driver of overall sustainability in businesses. And if there’s one thing RFID does better than any other solution, it’s ensuring the visibility of your supply chain. 🌀 Life Cycle Assessment is a vital part of finding sustainability hotspots in your business. The real-time data RFID inventory management and stock control systems provide is invaluable input into the creation of these assessments. 🤝 One of the larger predictors of increased sustainability is the level of integration between RFID and Sustainability teams. If this feels like a distant dream to you, don’t throw out hope just yet! The survey suggests that after 5 years of RFID system use, the integration between the two teams jumps from 18% all the way to 80%. If you haven’t had the chance to read the report yet, we highly suggest you do so! RFID is posed to be an important driver of sustainability actions going forward 💙 You can access the full report on RAIN RFID’s page here: https://lnkd.in/dYDGgmi7 #rfid

We craft your dreams into RFID solutions. But what do our brilliant craftspeople dream of? ⭐ This is one of our dreams. 💭 Imagine if you could walk into a shop, pick up your items, and just leave 💭 And before you ask: no, we’re not endorsing robbery 🌚 We may be endorsing the thrill and freedom of robbery – but with fully legal, automatic payment. In our RFID dream, you could enter a kiosk, log into its app, pick up some items from the shelves, and just walk away. The RFID system knows which items you picked, how much they cost, and automatically charges your account, with all appropriate discounts included. What would the RFID innovation of YOUR dreams look like? What could it do? Tell us in the comments below! 🤩 #rfid

2024 has been an absolute gold mine of RFID innovation. These are two of the most inspiring highlights we’ve been especially proud of witnessing! 🤩 1. RFID-enabled wristbands – a historically smooth Olympics experience Connect&Go, Montreal based technology company, provided Canadian Olympic-goers wristbands that gave participants a unique RFID identity. These identities were tied to the details, events, and times in which the wearer was authorised to enter an area or receive a certain amount of free food, for example. Contactless payment, authorisation, event management – all with the tap of a wristband and strategically placed RFID readers ✨ 2. End-to-end Smart Package delivery with RFID UPS is pushing towards true end-to-end automation for their sorting facilities, leveraging RFID data to inform their AI-powered systems. Their four-phase implementation of their “Smart Package Smart Facility” initiative (SPSF) has moved into Wave 2. Following the installation of RFID-reading capabilities into more than 1,000 distribution sites, they’ve been working hard this year to install RFID-readers into 60,000 delivery trucks – and an estimated 40,000 more next year 🔥 #rfid

Gen Z prefers self-checkouts mostly due to perceived ease-of-use and convenience. But there are other significant factors influencing this decision 👇 1. Avoiding awkward social interactions. Not only is online buying quite convenient, it is also subject to a reduced amount of human interaction. Studies suggest that Gen Z use self-checkouts as a way to emulate the impersonal nature of online buying – which they often would choose in the first place, given the choice. 2. Fear of failure may drive Gen Z to seek staffed checkout instead. If the self-checkout solution seems too difficult to use, the main reasons for Gen Z to use it instantly disappear. 3. Gen Z’s buying power is constantly growing, making them an important consumer segment According to Forbes, Gen Z’s have a shared command of over 350 billion dollars, and this grows yearly as more Gen Z’s enter professional life. It is time to make sure that your business fits their consumer behaviours. Read more from Forbes: https://lnkd.in/d_Jk8rFE #genz #consumerbehaviour #rfid

What do you think will be the coolest thing RFID can do in 2030? This is what our brightest RFID minds had to say when we asked! 🤩 “RFID will enable fully automated supply chains” 👏 Take the journey of a generic food package for instance. In 2030, the RFID chip will always be added to the package at the packaging factory, one of the very first steps. The whole supply chain can then be efficiently automated with the data the RFID system collects, one step at a time. And the businesses will not be the only ones benefiting! The end consumer can also follow this chain from the very start, and all the way to their front door ✨ We’re not far from having this be the standard in most industries. The technology already exists. Successful pilots have already been implemented. Then again, we’re also not very far from 2030 – and visionaries such as yourself are constantly pushing for more efficient, more visible supply chains 😉 #rfid #business #futureofbusiness

“Taking stock requires all our staff at each store – and still takes days.” Sound familiar? 😮💨 Finnish fashion retailer, Kekäle, found it too familiar. 💭 So they dared to dream: what if we were able to take stock in under an hour? What if we could check our inventory levels at any moment? 💭 Our RFID inventory tracking solution brought their dreams to reality. And turned these dreams into real, tangible numbers: 🪄 Inventory accuracy jumped from 65% to 95% 💰 Freed up ~15% of working capital in reduced buffer stock “Now we are able to take stock of a whole shop in only 30 minutes – which feels nearly magical”, says Eetu Karppanen, Development Manager at Kekäle. #rfid #business #retail

There’s so many cool things RFID technology can do for our futures! 🤩 We’re excited to show them all to you, but let’s start with sustainability 💚 RFID is one of the most powerful tools for increasing sustainability and reducing your company’s carbon footprint. Real-time information on your inventory levels helps you meaningfully reduce: ❌ Excess manufacturing ❌ Unnecessary logistics ❌ Industrial waste Instead, you’ll be increasing: ✅ The utilisation rate of production assets ✅ The efficiency of any manufacturing or logistics processes ✅ Product and person safety RFID gives you the information you need to build more sustainable, more efficient business processes. All while ensuring you never have to worry about losing items again 👏 #rfid #businesstips #valuechain

The RADEA.IO automates your inventory and asset tracking in just one day. That’s the what. Here’s the how: RADEA.IO automatically pulls information about your assets using RAIN RFID, cloud, and industrial IoT technologies. The platform then uses this data to keep tabs on each individual asset you own and automates your inventory management. Thanks to its cloud-based architecture, you can access RADEA anywhere, at any time, and even on your favourite internet browser. It can also be integrated into existing systems. If you’re not benefiting from automated, real-time inventory tracking yet, you really needn’t look further than the RADEA.IO. It’s generic. It’s easy to use. And it gets the job done – in exactly the way that you want. #rfid #radeaio
